Graves Also Present: Town Clerk Dale G. Hill Absent: Trustee Henry Dannels Trustees: Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, Harry Tregent Minutes of the regular meeting held September 12, 1966, were read and approved as read. Trustee Carl Swanson introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved that it be passed on first reading: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON THE 1ST DAY OF JANUARY, 1967, AND ENDING ON THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1967, ESTIMATING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAX LEVY BASED ON THE SAID BUDGET SO ADOPTED; ESTIMATING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE DERIVED FROM OTHER REVENUE SOURCES; AND SETTING FORTH THE TOTAL ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES FOR EACH FUND. Trustee Ronald Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said ordinance duly passed on first reading. Trustee N. T. Petrocine introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved that it be passed on first reading: AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1967, TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1967, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1967. Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said ordinance duly passed on first reading. Trustee Ronald Brodie introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved that it be passed on first reading: THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE: APPROPRIATING SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF rtu TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, FOR THE TOWN'S FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1967, AND ENDING ON THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1967. Trustee William Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Brownfield, Sr., Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Adver- tising Committee submitted the 1965-1966 annual advertising report. Trustee N. T. Petrocine moved the report be accepted. Trustee Ronald Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Mr. John C. Jones appeared before the Board of Trustees and requested con- sideration for the annexation of a parcel of land of about 30 acres lying east of the Dekker Addition. After considerable discussion, there were no objections to Mr. Jones filing an annexation plat for the entire 30 acres. The Board of Trustees did indicate the only portion of this property that could now be served by city water would be that portion lying below 7,850 feet. Trustee William Grove introduced the following resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTI 0 N BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO: That The Estes Park Bank, Estes Park, Colorado, be and is hereby designated as the depository of all monies belonging to the Police Magistrate Court, Town of Estes Park, Colorado, and that William C. Wilson, Acting Police Magistrate be and is hereby authorized to de- posit and withdraw funds belonging to the Police Magistrate Court in accordance with the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park. Trustee N. T. Petrocine seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none. The Council reviewed the eight delinquent occupation licenses. Trustee Ronald Brodie, Chairman of the Light & Power Committee, reported on a meeting of the Light & Power Committee as itemized in their minutes of September 19, 1966, and moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee N. T. Petrocine, Chairman of the Police Committee, reported on a meeting of the Police Committee, as itemized in their minutes of September 19, 1966, and moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee William Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee N. T. Petrocine, Chairman of the Police Committee, reported on a meeting of the Police Committee, as itemized in their minutes of September 22, 1966, and moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Present: Mayor Also Present: Absent: Trustees: Mr. Ned Linegar appeared before the Board of Trustees and discussed the current dispute between Mr. Cobb and the Colorado State Employment Service. Trustee N. T. Petrocine moved that the Town of Estes Park write a letter to the Colorado State Employment Service reaffirming the Town's need for the above mentioned service. Trustee Ronald Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Mayor Graves announced he has given permission for a high school dance to be held on October 1 on the south Elkhorn Avenue parking lot.
