In accordance with the official results of the regular Town Election held
on April 5, 1966, and the official canvass thereof, the Clerk administered
the oath of office to the following duly elected officials:

Trustee Harry Tregent moved that the above appointments be approved. Trustee
Henry Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the
following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry Dannels, William Grove,
N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none.

Trustee Carl R. Swanson moved the above committees be approved. Trustee
Henry Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the
following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry Dannels, William Grove,
N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none.
Trustee Henry Dannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the
Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the
bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under
this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference
thereto.) Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the
motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Paul H. Van Horn, Town Engineer, presented two proposals concerning the
repair of the river wall on the north edge of the Buenna Vista Terrace parking
lot. The Board of Trustees instructed Mr. Van Horn to proceed with bids and
the necessary advertising thereof for both methods of repair. The bids shall
be received in the office of the Clerk up to 5:00 p.m. on April 25, 1966. The
repair of the river wall shall be completed by May 20, 1966. Invitations to
bid shall be delivered to all local contractors and also advertised in the
Estes Park Trail.
Trustee Carl Swanson introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved
that it be passed and adopted on first reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.6 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO DOG LICENSES.
Trustee Henry Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion
passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry Dannels,
William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those
voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said ordinance duly
passed and adopted on first reading, ordered it numbered 297, and published
according to law.

The Clerk presented an application for a renewal of a retail fermented malt
beverage license for the sale of 3.2% beer by Merl M. Morehead, dba Morehead's
Super Market, 1000 First Avenue, Estes Park, Colorado. The Police report
indicated there were no reports of any violations at the above mentioned
establishment. Trustee Henry Dannels moved the application be approved.
Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed
by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry Dannels, William
Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No"
none.
After considerable discussion and upon the advice of Town Attorney Ernest G.
Hartwell, Trustee Henry Dannels introduced the following resolution and moved
that it be passed and adopted:
RESOLUTIO N
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO:
That the Town's attorney, Ernest G. Hartwell, be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to file in a Court of competent jurisdiction, on
behalf of the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, all necessary legal proceedings
against Henry B. Landers to enjoin and abate the nuisance being maintained
by him on the following described property located in the Town of Estes Park,
Colorado, to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 in Block 5, and
Lots 1 and 2 in Block 4, all in Country
Club Manor Addition to the Town of Estes
Park, Colorado.
Trustee Carl Swanson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed
by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry Dannels, William
Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No"
none.
The Clerk read a letter dated March 30, 1966 from the Estes Park Sanitation
District, asking consideration in leasing office space in the proposed
municipal courtroom building. Mayor Graves referred this letter of request
to the Public Buildings & Parks Committee.
Trustee Henry Dannels, Chairman of the Water Committee, reported on a meeting
of the Water Committee as itemized in their minutes of April 4, 1966, and
moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Carl Swanson seconded
the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
Trustee Henry Dannels reported on a meeting at the Stanley Hotel. The Stanley
Hotel people presented their plans for the development of their property.
Trustee Harry Tregent, Chairman of the Street Committee, reported the possi-
bility of negotiating this year's oiling program with the Flatiron Paving
Company instead of bidding as has been the policy in the past.

Mayor Graves reminded the Trustees the Annual Institute of Mayors and Councilmen
will be held at the University of Colorado on April 29 and 30. All those who
can attend are to check with the Clerk for reservations.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded, and carried
that the meeting adjourn.
