Meeting called to order by Mayor... _G..1_arence A, Czraves. Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Henry Dannels, C. M. Hunter L. Leo Martin, Carl Swanson, Harry Tregent Also Present: Dale G. Hill, Town Clerk Absent: Ronald C. Brodie, Trustee Minutes of the regular meeting held on July 27, read and approved as read. Trustee Leo Martin moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Henry Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Mr. Ned Linegar, Chairman of the Mayor's Committee on Youth, reported on a Committee meeting held August 4, 1964. In relation to this Committee report, Mayor Graves announced the curfew letters are coming in from the various Mayors of our neighboring communities along with copies of their curfew ordi- nances. When the curfew ordinances are all assembled, there will be a study to determine which ordinance would be best acceptable to Estes Park. Mayor Graves said he would inform all of theemployers in the area, urging them to check more carefully on their employees in regard to their behavior. The Clerk read in full a petition, opposing the proposed airport in the North End Planning District. This petition was initiated by the North End Property Owners Association on August 5, 1964, and was signed by 33 property owners in this district. This petition also included letters from Mrs. Pieter Hondius and Mrs. Frances Kramer Denning, stating their land is definitely not for sale for the purpose of an airport. Mr. Armin Schultes and Arnold Emch appeared before the Board and spoke in support of the above -mentioned petition. Trustee Carl Swanson, Chairman of the Town's Airport Committee, thanked Mr. Schultes and Mr. Emch for the presentation of the petition and informed them this type of reaction was very much appreciated and would be studied by the airport committee. A copy of the above -mentioned petition, including the letters from Mrs. Hondius and Mrs. Denning, are to be sent to Harry Miles, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Airport Committee. Mr. Lou Canaiy reported on the Crampon Tourist Study as of data received August 5. Mr. Canaiy read preliminary reports of the questionnaires sent to local business operators. Mr. Canaiy also read the questionnaire to be sent to the tourists who have visited the area this season. Trustee C. M. Hunter, Chairman of the Building Code Committee, reported several non -conforming signs have been removed from the Junction of Highways 66 and 7. Trustee Harry Tregent, Chairman of the Street Committee, reported he had received 5 bids for 4 grader tires and had awarded the bid to G & A Auto Service for the amount of $733.12. There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded, and carried that the meeting adjourn.
