Graves at regular Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove and John Ramey Also Present: Dale G. Hill, Town Clerk Absent: Trustees, Richard Snart and Carl Swanson Minutes of the regular meeting held on June 24, 1963, read and approved as read. The Clerk read an application for a telephone solicitation license from the Hunter Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado. The Hunter Funeral Home submitted the application to solicit by telephone in Estes Park for the purpose of selling memorial trust plans. Mr. Marion Hunter and Robert Retzloff of the Hunter Funeral Home appeared in support of the application. After considerable discussion, Trustee John Ramey moved the application for a telephone solicitation license be denied. Trustee Ronald Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion carried by the following votes. Those voting "yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove and John Ramey. Those voting "no" none. Trustee Henry Dannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Ronald Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Board of Trustees discussed the water sprinkling regulations recently placed in effect. Because of the wording of the previous resolution in relation to the Town's corporate limits, Trustee Henry Dannels introduced the following resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK: That the following sprinkling restrictions shall be enforced upon all water users of the Estes Park Water Department as of this date: All property lying North and East of the following described line shall sprinkle on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and all property lying South and West of said line shall sprinkle on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. No sprinkling shall be permitted on Sunday. Estes Park area division line for sprinkling regulations: Beginning at the Westerly limit of the Town of Estes Park water distribution system at its intersection with U. S. Highway No. 34, thence Easterly along said Highway No. 34 to its intersection with Big Thompson Avenue and Saint Vrain Avenue, thence Southerly along South Saint Vrain Avenue, also known as Colorado Highway No. 7, to the Southerly limit of the Town of Estes Park water distribution system. Sprinkling shall be permitted only during the following hours: 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Trustee John Ramey seconded the motion. D. 1963 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor_ Clarence A. Graves Present: Mayor Trustees: Also Present: Absent: William Grove and John Ramey. Those voting "no" none. The Clerk was instructed to investigate the possibility of outlawing solicitations by telephone in Estes Park. The Clerk read a proposed resolution authorizing the Town of Estes Park to apply for affiliation with the Public Employees Retirement Association. Mayor Clarence Graves ordered the resolution tabled until the next regular meeting. Trustee William Grove inquired about the gutter line next to Dave Hart's Buffeteria and also the one near the public restrooms at the entrance to the Elkhorn Avenue Parking Lot. It seems many cars have difficulty in traveling over these entrances. Mayor Clarence Graves referred this problem to Trustee John Ramey, Chairman of the Street Department. Trustee Henry Dannels, Chairman of the Water Committee, reported on the regular meeting of the Water Committee as itemized in their minutes of July 1, 1963 and moved that the same be approved and adopted. Trustee William Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee John Ramey announced the Northern Colorado Fire Fighters Association will have a field day in Estes Park on August 25, 1963. The Board of Trustees discussed the condition of the red wood planter boxes now placed on the public sidewalks. There being no further business it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. X 1.
