Minutes of a meeting o:f the Board of Trustees of the Town o:f .Estes
Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of
Estes Park on the 11+th _day A. D. 19...k?._ at regular
meeting hour.
Meeting called. to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves
Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald C. Brodie, Henry Dannels,
William Grove, John Ramey,
Carl. Swanson, Richard Snart
Also Present: Ernest Hartwell, Town Attorney; Verne Fenton, Town Clerk
Absent: None
Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 23 read and approved as read.
Trustee Ramey moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and that the
Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills
read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and
made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee
Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
As a result of the Board reviewing a proposed ordinance at the last regular
meeting regulating the keeping of horses within the corporate limits, 18 persons
appeared before the Board asking that the ordinance be adopted permitting horses
within. the Town. Those present filed signed petitions by approximately 125
persons supporting the adoption of an ordinance. All persons present having
been heard, Trustee Snart moved that the Clerk publish the contents of the
proposed ordinance and that public notice be given that a public hearing would
be conducted regarding the same at the regular meeting to be held on May 28th,
Trustee Swanson seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously
carried.
In accordance with action taken at the last regular meeting, Trustee Dannels
introduced the following entitled Ordinance and moved that it be passed and
adopted on second and final reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 AND 4 OF ORDINANCE
LER 185 OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO RELATING
TO ZONING DISTRICTS AND CREATING AN I-1 INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT.
Said Ordinance was then read in full. Trustee Snart seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion carried by the following vote: those voting "yes"
Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, John Ramey, Carl Swanson, and
Richard Snart. Those voting gqie none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said
Ordinance duly passed and adopted, ordered it numbered 228 and :published
according to law.
The Clerk presented the application of Mr. Merl. Morehead for the renewal of the
3.2% beer license. Trustee Dannels moved that it be approved. Trustee Brodie
seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mee. Erickson and Mrs. Finlay appeared before the Board and filed a letter under
date of May 14, 1962 asking that the Town co-operate with the WromarOs Club in
furnishing new lighting, new ceiling, and other minor repairs at the library. After
discussing the details, Mayor Graves submitted the proposal to Trustee Snart,
Grove and Swanson for recommendations to the Council.

The Clerk submitted a proposed budget for the Water Department for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1962. The Board ordered notice given that the budget
was on file.
The Town Attorney reported that he was negotiating d.th Mr. R. T. Davis for the
purchase of Lot 4-B Buenne Vista Terrace in accordance with previous action of
the Board.
Mayor Graves reported. that he had been asked to approve. a ..puhlic doE show at
Bond Park on either June 30 or July 7. The Board approved the proposal.
Trustee Dahnels reported on. the regular meeting of the rater Committee
as itemized in. their minutes of !lay 7, 1962 and moved that they be approved
and adopted. Trustee Snart seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion
unanimously carried.
There toeing no further business it was regularly.moved, seconded and carried
that the meeting adjourn -
