Minutes of the regular meeting held on August 14, 1961 read and approved as
read.
Mr. Soglow, Mr. Watson, Mr. Kinder, Mr. and Mrs. Royer, and Mrs. Leham
representing property owners in the Fish Creek District appeared before the
Board and stated that certain developments along the west side of the
Fish Creek Road were deteriorating the appearance of the area. Mr. Kinder
acted as spokesman for the group and pointed out the following objections:
1. The acc»nvnlation of brush and small trees, caused by the re-
building of the road, should be burnt or hauled away as agreed
to by Larimer County at the time of the construction.
2. That the property owners objected to the road connecting
Fish Creek and Highway 7 being closed.
3. That a sizable amount of junk now being stored along Fish
Creek and apparently belonging either to the Recreation District
or Mr. Paul VanHorn be removed.
4. That the property owners object to the operation of a concrete
ready mix plant together with any further commercial development
in the area.
5.. That the. property owners seriously object to the pasturing of
horses on the VanHorn property primarily because at numerous
times they run at large through the Fish Creek residential
area.
All of the above items were reviewed by the Board together with the committee.
The Board stated that they would take such measures within their jurisdiction
to correct or improve the above objected conditions.
The clerk reported that certain property owners in Pine Wood Acres Addition
had asked that the Town accept the road along the southern boundary of Pine
Wood Acres as a Town street. After reviewing the proposal, Trustee Ramey
moved that the Town approve the proposal providing a minimum of a 30-foot
wide right-of-way is acquired by the Town and providing the present road
is improved to meet Town standards. Trustee Grove seconded the motion.
Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
