Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the llth_ day of Apr il _____, A. D. 19_60_ at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Elect lerenee GrLavv_s Present: Mayor Elect Clarence Graves Trustees:Elect: Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove Andy Jones, John Ramey Richard Snart Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: None Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved as read. Trustee Dannels moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. In accordance with the certified results and the canvass of the regular election held on April 5, 1960, the Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the fol- lowing respective elected officers: Mayor Clarence A. Graves, Trustees Ronald C. Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, Andy Jones, John Ramey, Richard Snart. Mayor Graves appointed the following persons to the following respective offices and committees: Mayor Pro Tem Town Clerk & Recorder Town Treasurer Town Attorney Water Superintendent Street Superintendent Light & Power Superintendent Police Magistrate Police Chief Town Health Officer Town Building Inspector Light & Power Water Streets Public Buildings & Building Code Public Sanitation Fire Comilissioner Police Department Planning & Zoning Richard Snart Verne H. Fanton Ronald C. Brodie V. L. McCracken V. L. McCracken Leon H. Sweetland, Jr. Eugene Green Wm. E. Banks J. O. Mall, M. D. Dallas Tanton TOWN COUNCIL COMMITTEES Brodie, Grove, Ramey Dannels, Jones, Snart Ramey, Brodie, Camels Parks Snart, Grove, Ramey Grove, Jones Andy Jones Richard Snart Mayor Graves, Brodie Commission Brodie, Jones Trustee Ramey moved that the above appointments be approved. Trustee Jones seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: those voting "yes" Brodie, Dannels, Grove, Snart, Jones, Ramey; those voting "no", none. The Clerk presented an original Plat, together with petitions, requesting annexation of the University Heights Sub -Division. Following a review, and considering former action of the Planning Commission and the Town Board, Trustee Ramey introduced the following resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted: O. t Larimer County, Colorado,..._____ • '1—IL , 19 60. Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A —Graves Present: Mayor Also Present: Absent: Trustees: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park that the Board of Trustees does hereby accept the Petition to annex the territory now known as "University Heights, a subdivision of a portion of Section 30, Township 5 North, Range 72 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, as shown by the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 4, page 10, Larimer County, Colorado, records" to the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, to be known as University Heights Addition to the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, and the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of the substance of the Petition, the date of filing, the number of persons signing, a description of the territory included in the proposed annexation,. and a statement that land owners of the area may express their opposition to the annexation and secure an election by complying with the provisions of Chapter 139, Section 4, Article 11, Colorado Revised Statutes of 1953. Such notice shall be published once each week for three successive weeks in the Estes Park Trail, a weekly newspaper of general circulation published in the Town of Estes Park, Colorado. Trustee Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried and said Resolution adopted by the following vote: those vot"yes" Brodie, Dannels, Grove, Snart, Ramey, Jones; those voting "no" none. Whereupon, Mayor Graves declared said Resolution adopted. Trustee Brodie reported that he had met with Mr. John Carmack, local manager of the telephone company regarding water damage incurred at the local community church. Trustee Brodie moved that the Town reimburse the church for their claim in an amount up to but not to exceed 4125.00, which represents approximately one half of the cost of damage. Trustee Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Trustee Dannels reported on the monthly meeting of the Water Committee as itemized in their minutes of April 4, 1960 and moved that the report be approved. Trustee Snart seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Trustee Ramey reported that the annual date for the vaccination of dogs is tentatively set for April 23 with the Fire House facilities available and a veterinary available. There being no further business it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. a ......... Attest
