Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. day of ._..F.ebrUar,y , A. D. 19-522.. at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Tnistees, Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, Charles Herzog, John Ramey, Richard Snart Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: None Minutes of the regular meeting held on January 26, 1959 read and approved as read. Mayor Graves opened the meeting by welcoming a group of local Boy Scouts together with Scout leaders attending the meeting at the invitation of the Board commemorating the anniversary of the Boy Scouts. Trustee Dannels moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Ramey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Mr. William Finlay, Chairman of the Board of the Metropolitan Recreation District appeared before the Board asking permission to establish an over -night trailer parking area at the northwest section of the Lake Estes Recreation Area. After reviewing existing Ordinances, it appeared that a licensed trailer camp would have to be established and the proposal was referred to the Local Planning Commission. Mr. Dale Ver Straeten, Chairman of the Estes Park Rodeo Association appeared and presented a tentative plan for the installation of new chutes at the Rodeo Grounds. Trustee Dannels moved that the association be authorized to accept bids for the installation and to present the bids to the Town Board for consideration. Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Trustee Brodie together with Leon Sweetland presented bids received by the Light and Power Committee for the purchase of a chasis for a new line truck. The bids having been analyzed in relation to the specifications, Trustee Brodie moved that the low bid that met all specifications of Circle S Motors in the amount of $4,545.45 be accepted. Trustee Herzog seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Clerk opened bids for the purchase of a new police car submitted by Circle S Motors, Conny's Motor and Estes Park Garage. Trustee Herzog moved that the low bid in the amount of $1,150 submitted by Circle S Motors be accepted. Trustee Snart seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. In accordance with the action taken at the last regular meeting, Trustee Ramey moved that the Town attorneys retainer fee be approved at $50.00 per month. Trustee Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Trustee Dannels reported on the regular meeting of the Water Committee as itemized in their minutes of February 2, 1959 and moved that they be accepted. Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: The Clerk reported that the Town Attorney, Mr. Hatfield Chilson had started proceedings to acquire the necessary right of way and tract of land for the Black Canyon Water improvement. Mayor Graves announced that Mr. Charles Kr:tenak had resigned from the Board of the Estes Park Rodeo Association. Mayor Graves appointed Mr. Jim Bissell to fill the vacancy. The Board approved the appointment. Trustee Grove, as a member of the Advisory Co m ttee to the Recreation District representing the Town Board, reported on their last regular meeting. There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest!
