Absent: None
Minutes of the regular meeting held. on June 27, 1959 read. and approved, as read.
Trustee Brodie moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and that the
Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A. certified copyof the bills
read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town. Clerk under this date and
made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee
Ramey seconded the motion, Upon roll call. said motion unanimously. carried.
In accordance with legal publications, the Board proceeded to conduct, a public
hearing regarding the application for a 3.2% beer license at the El Rancho property
submitted by Walter G. ASMU3. Mr. Asmus appeared and spoke in favor of the licenee.
The Clerk read two communications on file opposing the license. The following
persons appeared. and spoke opposing the license: Anna Willetts, Lawrence Cundall,
Mrs, Fred Wolpert, Mrs, Ken. Lichty, Mr. Rodger Low and Mrs. Remloy. , All of the
above being property owners in the immediate area. After reviewing the expressions
of the property. owners, Trustee Ramey. moved that the application be denied and re-
jected. Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried.
and said application rejected by the folialging vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees
Brodie, Dannels, Grove, Herzog, Ramey and Einart. Those voting No none.
Mayor Graves reported that Doctor Luce had requested a yellow line in front of
his office for emergency purposes. Trustee Herzog moved that, it be approved.
Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motionunanimously carried,
Trustee Dannels reported. on the monthly meeting of the Water Committee as itemized
in their meeting of July 6, 1959 and made an, part of these minuted by reference thereto.
Trustee Dannels moved that the minutes be accepted and approved. Trustee Snort
seconded the notion. Upon. roll call said motion: unanimously carried.
Mayor Graves reported that a vacancy existedon, the Estes Park Rodeo and Horse Show
Committee and appointed Harold Alps as a member of the Board. Trustee Herzog moved
that the appointment be approved. Trustee Ramey seconded the motion. Upon roll
call said motion, unanimously carried.
The Clerk read a proposed ordinance relating to the construction, and. repair of side-
walks. The propoeed ordinance was discussed and set over for consideration at the
next meeting.
Trustee Ramey reported that tents had been inetalled and. being occupied at the
E, H. Gray. Trailer Court area. The Boarddeclared this be in violation of the
Building Code and the Zoning Ordinance and ordered them removed,
Mr. A. C. Martin appeared before the Board and asked. that, an additional pedestrian
crosswalk be identifiedimmediately west of the Fall River Bridge an Elkhorn Avenue.
The Board unanizonely approved. the Installation of a crosswalk at the above location,
There being no further business, it, was regularly moved, seconded and carried. that
the meeting adjourn.
