Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the
day of January
, A. D. 19---18 at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves

Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees:N.L. Bartlett, Ronald Brodie,
Henry Dannele, Charles Herzog, John Ramey, Richard Snart.
Also Present: Robert McCreary, Town Attorney, Verne H. Fanton,
Town Clerk.
Absent: None.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on December 23, 1957, read and
approved as read.
Trustee Brodie moved' that the following bills be allowed and paid,
and that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. Trustee
Dannele seconded the motion.
°A Certified oopy of the bills read and allowed are on file in
the office of the Town Clerk, under this date, and made a part
of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.
Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Richard Statham appeared before the Board, stated that his agree-
ment with the Town for the operation of the Community Cable T.V.
system, would expire in the near future, and ask that the agreement
be renewed. The Board eed to consider the request in the near
future.
Mr. McCreary reviewed and explained that the Town could not legally
acquire the lots in Riverside Subdivision, at this time.
Mr. E.E. Altiek and Conny Stioklank appeared before the Board, stated
they planned to construct a new service station and garage' at the
present site of Conny'e Motor Co. Mr. Altiek asked that the Board
approve their request for a permanent curb out the width of their
property, and the modification of Ordinance No. 133, to permit the
delivery of gasoline to a service station in full transport loads.
The Board agreed to act on the request at a later meeting.
A letter from Herbert Miller, Attorney at Law, was read to the Board,
regarding the application on file, of Dale Simmons for the Timberline
liquor license. The Board agreed to table the application at this ti
Mr. Glenn Prosser, Chairman of the Airport Committee of the Chamber of
Commerce, appeared and presented a complete, detail, survey of the
possibility of Federal Aid toward acquiring an approved airport.
It appeared that there was not time to file an application under the
present progr->„,a, so Mr. Prosser asked that the Town acquire the
site, from time to time, and also that application be made to be
included in the National Airport Plan.
In discussing the purchase of re-capp tires for Town owned vehicles,
the Board ordered all tires purchased from local dealers.
Trustee Dannele reported on the monthly meeting of the Water Committee
as itimized inthe Committee's minutes of January loth. Trustee Dannele
reported that funds were on hand for the improvement of the Black
Canyon water supply, but work was being delayed several months due to
legal action, and moved that $ 30,000.00 of water funds be invested
in a six month certificate of Deposit. Trustee Herzog seconded the
motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Trustee Ramey moved that the Board approve the newly elected officers
of the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department: V.L. McCracken, Chief;
Richard Snart, Asst. Chief; Dale Hill, Secretary -Treasurer. Trustee
Herzog seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously
carried.

Trustee Dannels introduced the following entitled Ordinance, and
moved that it be passed : d adopted:
"AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN Tw—ITORY
TO THE TOWN OF ESTES COLOtii, TO BE KNOWN AND
DESIGNATED AS "DRICKSONIS • 6, P1 WOOD ACRES ADDITION"
TO THE TOWN OF ESTES COLOR',0".
Said Ordinance was then read in full. Trustee Herzog seconded the
motion. Upon roll call said Ordinance :s duly passed and adopted,
by the following vote: Those voting 1lYes" Trustees ::rtlett, Brodie,
Dannels, Herzog, R ey and. S ;rt. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon
Mayor Graves declared said Ordinance adopted, ordered it n nbered
177, and published according to law.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting,a4lourn.
