Also Present: Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk
Absent: Trustee Charles Herzog
Minutes of the regular meeting held on October 27 read and approved as read.
Trustee Dannels moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and that the
Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the bills
read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date
and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.)
Trustee Ramey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously
carried.'
Mr. Colwell, Mr. Crabtree and Mr. Hendrickson representing the firm of Phillips,
Carter & Osborn of Denver appeared before the Board and submitted detailed plans
for the enlargement and improvements for the Big Thompson Water System. Following
a detailed review of the plans, Trustee Snart moved that the Town proceed to ad-
vertise for bids for the project with bids to be received and opened at the Town
Hall on December 1, 1958 at 7:30 P.M. Trustee Dannels seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Wayne Owen appeared before the Board supporting his application for a restaurant
liquor license at Monty's Restaurant for 1959. Trustee Dannels moved that notice
be published for a Public Hearing to be held on December 8. Trustee Brodie seconded
the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting
"Yes" Trustees Brodie, Dannels, Grove and Snart. Those voting 91o" Trustee Ramey.
Mayor Graves appointed the following persons to serve on the Board of the Estes Park
Rodeo and Horse Show Association for the coming year: Everett May, Louis Canaiy,
Dale Ver Straeten, George Hix, Glenn Prosser, Charles Kremenak, Cliff Johnson,
Dwight Adrian, George Lambert and C. K. S. Russom. Trustee Brodie moved that the
appointments be approved. Trustee Ramey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said
motion unanimously carried.
The Clerk read the following liquor license applications submitted for renewal and
approval: E. R. Anderson, Leo Tighe and O. M. Nagl. Trustee Dannels moved that
they be approved. Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion
unanimously carried. Trustee Dannels reported on the monthly meeting of the Water
Committee as itemized in their minuted of November 3, 1958 and moved that the report
be accepted and adopted. Trustee Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call said
motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Joel Bacon appeared before the Board and filed a written report containing
suggestions regarding the Towns insurance program. The report was referred to
Trustee Herzog for review and consideration.
The Clerk presented the proposed Budget for the Town for the calendar year 1959
and reported that legal publication had been complied with. The Board again re-
viewed the entire Budget in detail WHEREUPON Trustee Snart introduced the following
entitled Ordinance and moved that it be passed and adopted:
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK, COLORADO FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGIN-
NING JANUARY 1, 1959 AND ENDING DECEKBER 31, 1959.
Said Ordinance was then read in full. Trustee Brodie seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion unanimously carried and said Ordinance adpoted by the following
vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Brodie, Dannels, Grove, Ramey and Snart. Those

voting "NO none. WHEREUPON Mayor Graves declared said Ordinance adopted,
ordered it Numbered 191 and published according to law.
There being no further business, it waa regularly moved, seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
