HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Town Board 1957-11-12Mott of QQfiteg Vat, Larimer County, Colorado, Nov. 12 19 57 Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. day of Nov. , A. D. 19 57 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves 12 Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald Brodie, N.L. Bartlett, Henry Dannele, Charles Herzog, John Ramey. Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk, Frank Starkey, Town Attorney. Absent: Trustee Richard Snart. Minutes of the regular meeting held on October 28, read and approved. Trustee Ramey moved that the following bills be allowed and paid,, and that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same: Trustee Dannels seconded the motion: A Certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk, under this date, and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Mr. Wm. Finley, Bryce Evans, Donald Griffith, Duane Reed and Charles Kremenak representing the Metropolitan Recreation District appeared before the Board, and reviewed the lease between the Recreation District and the Golf and Country Club Corporation. Mr. Finley stated that the Recreation District would file an action in the District Court, asking for a declaratory judgement regarding the proceedings and ask that the Town agree to be a party to the action. The Town Attorney and the Board agreed to the request. The Clerk presented the application of O.M. Nagl for a liquor license renewal. Trustee Herzog moved that it be approved. Trustee Dannele seconded the motion. Upon roll call eiad motion unanimously carried. In discussing the public nusieense created by stray dogs in Town, Trustee Ramey moved that the Town employ a dog catcher and empound doge running at large, and charge fees for their release. The question was further discussed, and the motion lost for want of a second. Trustee Bartlett then moved that public notice be given that effective Novweber 25th, the Town would empound dogs running at large, that did not have valid rabies shots. Trustee Dannele seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest:
