D. 19 S7a2.00 P.M. si •..:a.i.,. Y Meetingcalled to orderby Mayor Clarence A. Graves a, Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: N.L. Bartlett, Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannele,. Charles Herzog, John R:-aey, Richard Snart. Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: None. This meeting called by Mayor Graves at the request of N.L. ;wrtlett, Chairman of the street and alley Committee. Trustee Bartlett re- ported that he and the Mayor, together with Town personell had met with Mr. L.J. Heseer, contractor, of Greeley, and negotiated for a major street oiling progr:+. Trustee Bartlett explained that the progr_, included oiling most of the Town streets that had been oiled years ago and paid, for by the property owners, and that was now in very bad condition and requiring high maintenance costs. Also that a stock, pile for patching and repairs of about 300 tons was included in the proposal. Trustee Bartlett reported that streets without oil at present, could be oiled providing the property owners petitioned for it and paid the costs. Mayor Graves stated that the estimated cost of the progr was $ 37,000.00 and that the street department could finance $ 20,000.00 of this :aunt, and that the sum of $ 17,000.00 could be borrowed from funds of the Light & Power Department that would not be needed by the Department until later. ,Leon Sweetland and Carl Bailey of the Light & Power Department was called into the meeting, and the proposal reviewed. Following complete discussion, Trustee Bartlett moved that the project be approved, that the General Fund borrow $ 17,000.00 from the Light & Power Department, and that re payment be provided for in the annual budget of the General Fund. Trustee R++ey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following tote: Those voting "Yee" Trustees rtlett, Brodie, Dannels, Herzog, R ey and Snart. Those voting "No" none.
