Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town; of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on __
day of F ebruary , A. D. 19 55 at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves
Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald C. Brodie, Henry
Dannels, Charles Herzog, Jess Poling, George Watson.
Also Present: Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk
Absent: Trustee A.G. Fisk.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on January 24th, and the Special
meeting held on February 4th, read and approved as read.
Trustee Watson moved that the following bills be allowed and paid end
that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same: Trustee Dannele
seconded the motion:

Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Dolias Tanton, representing the Estes Park Chamber of Commerce,
appeared before the Board, and ask permission to use a mobil loud-
speaker on the streets, to advertise special events at Stanley Park.
The Board decided that in each instance, application for such use
must be made to the Mayor, and his approval obtained for specified use.
In accordance with past legal publications end hearings, Trustee Dannele
introduced the following entitled Ordinance and moved that it be adopted
AN OR➢INANCE AONING THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO AND
REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBER 115, 117, 121, 127, and 140
OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO.
Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Said Ordinance was then read in
full. Upon roll call said motion was passed and said Ordinance adopted
by the following vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Brodie, Dannels,
Herzog, Poling and Watson. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor
Graves declared said Ordinance pas"ed and adopted, ordered it numbered
152 and published according to law.
In accordance with the action taken at the last regular meeting, Trustee
Dannele introduced the following entitled Ordinance and moved that it
be adopted:
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF ALPINE ROAD IN GRAND
ESTATES ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO.

Present: Mayor Trustees:
Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Said Ordinance was then read in
full. Upon roll cell said motion carried and said Ordinance passed
by the following vote: Those voting "Yee" Trusteee Brodie, Dannels,
Herzog, Poling and Watson. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor
Graves declared said Ordiance passed and adopted, ordered it numbered
153 Ind published according to law.
In accordance with previous Board discussion, Trustee Poling introduced
the following entitled Ordinance and moved that it be adopted:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, PASSED, AND ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER
10, 1917, ENTITLED "AND ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS AND
CONCERNING FIRES AND THE PREVENTION THEREOF WITHIN SUCH LIMITS
AND WITHIN -THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK", A3 SAID ORDINANCE WA3 AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE PASSED AND ADOPTED OCOBER 8, 1923 AND BY ORDINANCE
PASSED AND ADOPTED JANUARY 27, 1917.
Trustee Herzog seconded the motion. Said Ordinance was then read in
full. Upon roll eel' said Ordinance and said motion was passed by the
following vote: 'Those voting "Yes" Trustees Brodie, Dannels, Herzog,
Poling end Watson. Those voting No none. Whereupon Mayor Graven
declered said Ordinance passed and adopted, ordered it numbered 154,
and published according to law.
In discussing the method of collecting garbage end trash and the op-
eration of the city dumpi for the coming season, Trustee Poling and
the Town Clerk were authorized to aok for proposals for the opration
from all interested parties.
A letter from the Chamber of Commerce was read to the Board, suggesting
that the Board ett a policy for the use of Stanley park, whereby a local
non-profit organization sponsoring an event could share in a portion
of the profits from the event. The proposal was turned to Trustee
Brodie for action.
trustee Poling discussed various street and alley proposals. The Board
agreed to have the alleyback of Block 2 surveyed and estimated of
excevation prepared. Also that the area around the Town. Garege should
be cleaned up and fills made.
Trustee Herzog reported that the Chamber of Commerce was not in favor
of having public telephone booths placed in. front of the building. The
Board authorized Trustee Herzog to proceed with plans to have the Elk-
horn Ave. parking lot marked and painted for individual parking.
Meyor Graves reported that he and the pollee depattment were having
considerable trouble with the Maegreagor cattle running at large within
the Town. With the spproval of the Boerd, Mayor Graven emphized the
fret that the Ordinance, policy and regulations of the Town, with re-
gard to collection of monies, must be strictly complied with, and em-
ployees charged with collections are instructed end supported by the
Board, accordingly.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, eo.nd.ed and
carried thst the m tting adjourn.
