Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves EObJli of QEott9 Park Latimer County, Colorado, Pebruary 22 Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Latimer 22 Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: G.E. Casey, Henry Dannele, Charles Herzog, Bert McConnell, Jess Poling. Also Presnet Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: Trustee George Watson. Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 8th and the special meeting held on February 1, read and approved. Mr. and Mrs. R.L. McConnell appeared before the Board and stated that the water service to their reeidence was entirely inadequate and that it was due to a water "bleeder" on the Dr. Reid property being in operation most of the time. Mayor Graves instructed the Water Commitee and the Water lautxat a Superintendent to correct the situation. Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Tiley and Mr. Ray Beery appeared before the Board and made application for the extension of Town water to the sub- division known as Grand Estates. Mr. Beery stated that he was willing to incorporate his property, Mr. Tiley stated that he was willing to incorporate a portion of hie property at this time. After reviewing the proposal the Clerk was instructed to contact the Town Attorney to see if this could be legally accomplished. The Clerk reported on the monthly meeting of the Light & Power Committee. No action was taken at this meeting .on the request of the Rodeo As,lociation for the Town to install flood lights at the Rodeo arena. Trustee Casey moved that the proposed of expenditure of $ 968.00 by the Department, at the Stanley Hotel in order to furnish adequate service, be approved. Trustee Dannele seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Trustee Herzog moved that a proposed Ordinance, regulating the in- stallation of radio and T V antennas, be tabled until the next meeting. Trustee Casey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Clerk reported that the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Dept. had purchased a new fire truck with their own funds, and proposed to trade-in the 1936 Rea truck on the purchase. Trustee Casey moved that the action of the Department be approved. Trustee Dannele seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Clerk reported that a portion of the Town owned, public buildings, had been charged a flat rate for lights, by the light & power dept., and proposed that they be metered and charged the established rate, in order for the Department to account for all killowatts consumed. The Board approved the proposal. Water Supt. Lee Tallant, reported on the progress of the new water extension progr Trustee Poling reported that the Moraine Park Road bridge had been repaird at a joint coat between Larimer County and the Town. The Board approved a proposal to install a new fire hydrant at the intersection of Stanley Circle and Stanley Ave. As a result of discussions at previous meetings, Trustee McConnell moved that the question of "Shall the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park receive compensation for their services, as such, and in such amount as may be fixed by Ordinance", be placed on the ballot at the regular Town election to be held on April 6, 1954. Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Casey, Dannele, Herzog, McConnell and Ming. "No" none.
