Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. 14th
day of June , A, D. 19...54 at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves
Present: MayorClarence A. Graves Trustees: R.C. Brodie, Henry Dannels,
A.G. Fisk, Chas. Herzog, Jess Poling, George Watson.
Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk, Absent: None.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on May 24, read and approved.
Trustee Brodie Moved that the folloving bills be allowed and paid,
and that the Clerk be authroized to draw warrants for sr: +e: Trustee

Upon roll call said motion carried by th
voting "Yes" Trustees, Brodie, Dannels,
Those not voting Trustee Fisk.
Mr. Jack Monroe, representing the Power Equipment Company of Denver,
appeared before the Board and presented, information and prices con-
cerning the purchase of a new tractor -dozer for use at the town dump.
No action was taken et this time.

Police Chief Banks appeared and displayed a new police type camera
and ask that the Town purchase same for the police department. No
action was taken et this time.

Minutes of a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer

Meeting called to order by Mayor
Present: Mayor Trustees:
The Clerk presented a warranty deed, signed by Ivan Thomas and Mary
Thomas, dedicating a 20' stip of land between Highway No. r, (7) and
Stanley Ave. as a public street. Another 201 strip of land is added
to this by the plat of the Quasebarth Re -Subdivision, making a 40'
street, along the South boundary of said Re -Subdivision. Trustee
Herzog moved that the deed and dedication be accepted by the Town.
Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Upon roll call s=td motion
carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Brodie,
Dannels, Fisk, Gerzog, Poling & Watson. "No" none.
The Clerk presented an pit application from the Martin Laundromat
for a yellow line in front of the place of business on Elkhorn Ave.
The application was rejected.
Trustees Brodie, Watson and Fisk reported on the construction progress
at Stanley Park, and Trustee Brodie moved that the grandstand seats
be painted at a cost of $ 325.00. Trustee Herzog seconded the motion.
Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
The Clerk reported that he had received complaint that the Indians
emplopdd by Mr. Chas. Miller and dancing and singing at the entrance
to the Miller Curio Shop, constituted a distirbance to the people
in the neighborhood. The Board ordered the Police Chief to see that
the distirbance was abbated.
Trustee Watson reported on the monthly meeting of the Light & Power
Committee. The Board approved the Department entering into a lease
with the Bureau of Reclamation for the use of 3 transformers.
The Board approved thh granting of consession rights at Stanley Park
to The Estes Park Lions Club, providing a satisfactory statement of
proposed operations was presented in writing.
The Clerk reported on the State Ftremen's Convention at Glenwood
Springs, and stated that the 1955 convention would be in Estes Park.
Trustee Dannels reported for the Water Committee, with the Board
approving the following recommendations:
The Town will waive a water tap fee for service at Lake Estes Boat
9ervide;
Water Rent for a trailer camp will be $ 10.00 per year per unit
capacity;
Water taps to serve Kenneth Harger, and Yesley's Service Station)
The application of Mrs. Hondius would be honored, at the time of
construction on the proposed location, under the terms and conditions
then in effect.
The Clerk reported that due to the steadly increasing amount of work
in the Town Hall offices, required by all departments, that It would
be essential to employ another person on a year round basis. The
Board approved the proposal, with salary payment to be divided between
the Light & Power Dept. and Water Department.
There being no further business to come before the meetin:,, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting ''ourn.
