Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. _e_l, 61.t day of June , A. D. 19...54. at le atxmx 2:00 P.M. Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: R.C. Brodie, Henry Dannels, A.G. Fisk, Chas. Herzog, Jess Poling, George Watson. Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk. •The Special meeting called by Mayor Graves for the purpose of considering bide for the construction of horse barns at Stanley Park. The bidders having been notified that bide would be opened at 2:00 P.M., and the hour being 2:20 P.M. Mayor Graves declared said bids closed, and proposals opened. The Clerk read the only bid presented, that of Prange & Mason, Inc. in the amount of $ 9,918.87. After diecuesing details of the proposal Mr. Prange stated that he could allow -a $ 500.00 credit by useing the gravel on the site, plus a credit on'concrete foetinge, depending on the necessary depth at time of excavating, whereupon Trustee Watson moved that the bid be accepted on this basis. Trustee Fisk seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. Mr. Bud Chadwick appeared before the Board and presented plans for construction of a "drive -by" restaurant to be located on Lot 3A, Buenna Vista Terrace, with a curb cut for the entrance. After discussion Trustee Dannels moved that it be approved. Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. The Clerk presented a proposal to replace the present pedestrian signals on the main intersection with a neon 'walk" and "dont walk" installation and stated that the State Highway Department would make the installation, providing the Town paid 50% of the cost, estaimated to be $ 325;00. Trustee Watson moved that it be'approved. Trustee Poling seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimosjly carried. Permission was granted the Rodeo Association to construct a permanent bill board at the North East corner of Stanley Park. Upon motion, the meeting adjourned. a Attest:
