Graves Present: Mayor Clarence A Graves Trustees: Charles L. Herzog, Bert J. McConnell, Jess Poling, George H. Watson. Also Present: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: Trustees G.E. Casey and Henry Dainels. Minutes of the regular meeting held on March 9, read and approved. Mr. Phil Denton of the Bureau of Reclamation appeared before the Board and asked that in the event the Town took over the utilities at the Bureau houseing area, what disposition might be made of the present irrigating system that is now used to pump water for the lawns in the area. After discussing the matter the Board decided that this system could be connected to the Towns domestic system, provided, the power plant area remain connected to the pump system. Mr. Paul Van Horn appeared before the Board and ask if the Town had taken over the administration of Lake Estes. He was informed that the Town was in the process of contracting for this administration. Mr. Ward Rogers, Mr. Wayne Hackett and Mr. Wally McCaw, representing the American Legion Post appeared before the meeting and discussed in detail the program for the State Convention to be held in Estes Park beginning June llth. Following the discussion the Board agreed to cooperate with the Legion in their planning and approved the following items concerning the Town directly: a torch lite parade, a barbecue on the Town Park, the main parade, put up flags on the lite poles, a banner across the street, use of a corner of the municipal parking lot for display of an automobile, and to furnish "guest" stickers for the delegates cars. trustee McConnell reported that the water committee had met and was compiling information regarding the hotel water rates. In discussing the police car, the clerk was instructed to get an estimate on the cost of the necessary repairs. Trustee Watson =.d Trustee McConnell reported on the plans of the Rodeo Association.
