Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. 24th day of Augu 9 t , A. D. 19 53 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: G.E. Casey, Henry Dannels, Chas. L. Herzog, Bert J McConnell, Jess Poling, George Watson. Also Prevent: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk. Minutes of the regular meeting held on August 10, read and approved. The Clerk presented the application of 0.M. Nagl for the renewal of a 3.2% beer license. Trustee Casey moved that it be approved. Trustee Watson seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yee" Trustees Casey, Dannels, McConnell, Herzog, Poling and Watson. "No" none. The Mayor and the Clerk reported to the Board that they had talked with officials of the Colorado Municipal League regarding the possib- ility of holding the annual League convention in Estes Park in June 1954. The Board approved the plan with the Towne expenses for the convention not to exceed $ 200.00. Trustee Watson reported on the monthly meeting of the Light and Power Committeeincluding the need for the Town to negotiate a new contract with the Bureau of Reclamation for the purchase of power. Lee Tallant reported that the Engineer's survey for the construction of a new water supply was nearing completion and some information might be available for the next meeting. The Board discussed the possibility of installing heat and additional fixtures in the public rest rooms and keeping them open more months during the year. The question was turned over the the public build Inge committee. Trustee Poling reported on oil mix equipment that was available to purchase. The Board asked the committee to compile exact coats on all equipment necessary for the Tbwn to do street oiling. In discussing the need to eliminate the present city dump, Lee Tallant was instructed to investigate possible sites for a sanitary fill type of dump. Trustee Herzog reported on operations of the golf course and club house. Trustee McConnell reported on the finances of the annual rodeo at Stanley Park. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the meeting adjourned. •
