Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
28th
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the
day of April
, A. D. 19---5at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Clarence A. Graves
Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: G.E. Casey, Henry Dannele,
Charles L. Herzog, Bert J. McConnell, Jess Poling, (gym

Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk
Absent: Trustee George H. Watson.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 14, read and approved
as read.
At the invitation of the Mayor, Police Chief Banks appeared before
the meeting and discussed with the Board, parking restrictions for
the coming season. The Board ordered the following restrictions
enforced, effective May 12, 1952:
One Hour parking on Elkhorn Ave. from the Bridge at the West end
of Elkhorn Ave. to MacGreagor Lane, also on East At/topside Drive
from Elkhorn Ave. to the bridge;
15 minute parking across Moraine Drive from the Poet Office and
the parking area in back of the Post Office;
No "U" trun in front of the Post Office;
No Parking in front of the Poet Office from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M.;
1 hour parking on Cleave Ave, from Anderson Lane to the Church;
3 hour parking on the Municipal Parking Lot;
2 hour parking in the parking area North of the Town Hall;
and, signs posted in front of the National Park Service Office,
showing an alternate route thru Town, to avoid the main intersection.
The Clerk presented an invitation for bid, from the National
Park Service, listing a Rotary Snow plow. Following a detail
discussion, Trustee Poling moved that the, Street and Alley
Committee be authorized to submit a bid, providing the bid did
not exceed $ 2,000.00. Trustee Herzog seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting
"Yes" trustees Casey, Dannele, Herzog, McConnel and Poling. Those
voting "No" none.
The Clerk, together with Trustee McConnell reported on the monthly
meeting of the light & power committee. Trustee McConnell moved
that the Department proceed to install the new street light at
Elkhorn Ave. and Prospect Drive. Trustee Casey seconded the motion.
Upon roll callsaid motion carried by the following vote: Those
voting "Yea" trustees Casey, Dannele, Herzog, McConnell, and Poling.
Those voting "No" none.
Trustee McConnell reported on the meeting of the Water Utility
Committee. Following an explanation, trustee Casey moved that the
Water Superintendent proceed to purchase 1400 feet of 4" pipe to
replace a portion of the present line between Mocaesin Lodge and
Hyde Park. Trustee McConnell seconded the motion. Upon roll call
said motion oarried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes"
Trustees Casey, Dannele, Herzog, McConnell, and Poling. Those
voting "No" none.
Trustee Herzog reported on the Public Buildings & Parke committee
including proposed operations of the Country Club.
Trustee Poling reported on the Street and Alley Committee with
special attention given t the lack of funds for maintenance and
improvements.

Trustees:
Mayer Graves reported that he had been contacted by a representative
of the Bureau of Reclamation regarding the action that is now be-
ing taken and possible future action, taken by the Bureau, to
dispose of the property at the Bureau of Reclamation housing area.
Following a detail discussion, the Board agreed that due to the
circumstances and reasons implied, relating to this ground at the
time of acquisition by the Bureau from the Town, and since the
ground was now about to be offered for sale, that the Town of Estes
Park has a definite interest in the property. The Town Clerk was
instructed to confer with the Town Attorney and request that the
Bureau be notified of the Town's interest in the disposal of this
property.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
