Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
24th
Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.E. Casey, Chas. L.
Herzog, Merl Morehead, Jess Poling, George H. Watson.
Also Present: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works
Carl C. Bailey, Acting for Verne H. Fanton.
Absent: Trustee C.A. Graves,
Town Clerk, Verne H. Fanton.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on September 10, read and approved.
Mayor Brodie led a discussion regarding the proceedure to be followed
for the purchase of transportation equipment by the Light &.., Power
Department. Following the discussion, Trustee Herzog moved that the
purchase of Light & Power Department transportation equipment be
cleared through the Light & Power Committee, and then presented to
the Town Board for final approval. Trustee Poling seconded the motion.
Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those
voting "Yes" Trustees Casey, Herzog, Morehead, Poling and Watson.
Those voting "No" None.
The Board approved the recommendation of the Light & Power Committee
for the purchase of a new Pickup truck.
Trustee Poling discussed possible advantages in selling the switching
station equipment now on hand, but not installed, due to the fact that
our system now has almost firm power, through tne Bureau of Reclamation.
Trustee Poling suggeseted that numerous "cut—out" switches could be
installed through out the system at leas cost and with comparable
results. No action was taken on the proposal, but it was =freed
that a definite -plan along this line might be presented to the Board
for consideration.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
