Meeting called to order by MayorREM Pro Tem, Clarence Graves 13th Present; MayorPro Tem C.A. Graves Trustees: G.E. Casey, C.A. Graves, S.M. Hurd, Merl Morehead, Glen Swearingen and George H. Watson. Also Present: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie. Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 24, read and approved as read. Trustee Morehead moved that the following bills be allowed and paid and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same: Trustee Swearingen seconded the motion: Seyboldts Service Station, service 3.25 C.F. Hix, Agent, premium, 180.20 T.H. Farriee, Agent, premium 124.28 Jess Poling, supplies 12.%49 Reo Motors, services 13.75 E.P. Hardware, supplies 9.36 Texas Company, supplies 84.77 Western Oxygen Co., supplies 14.10 E.P. Ice & Fuel, fuel 90.30 Light & Power Dept. power 185.53 Monahan Motor Co. service 15.05 Clarence Graves, supplies 15.05 Mercury Cleaners, service 1.00 Ted Finger Motor, supplies 7.15 Silver Spruce Pharmacy, Supplies 8.25 Conoco Service Station, service 7.78 E.P. Lumber, supplies 40.32 Mobile Radio, service 1.00 C.F. Hoeckel Co., supplies 1.11 Continental Oil Co. supplies 28.28 Telephone Co., service 9.60 Wages & salaries 1182.84 Water Dept. operating expenses 1040.62 Light & Power, operating expenses 7378.27 Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yee" Trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen and Watson. Those voting "No" None. Mr. Don Cook appeared before the board supporting his application for a restaurant liquor license at El Rancho. Mr. Cook stated that he had pur- chased the bueinees from the present operator and had secured a lease from the landlord. After discussion Trustee Casey moved that the license be issued. Trustee Hurd seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees, Casey, Graves Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen and Watson. Those voting "No" none. The Hoard approved certain parking regulations as submitted by Police Chief Banks. Mr. John Brown appeared before the Board and stated that he could not assume the operation of the Country Club for this eeason, but that he would assist the Town in the construction of the improved golf course in any way possible. Supt. of Works, Tallant, was instructed to pro- ceed with plans for the improvement of the golf course. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was re- gularly moved, seconded end carried that the meeting adjourn. ayor Pro Tem Attest: Clerk
