A committee representing the Estes Park Rodeo Association, consisting of
Messrs. Alps, McGraw, May and Lambert appeared before the Board, to-
gether with a committee consisting of Messrs. Cantor, Sherman, Cotton
and Mundt, representing the Estes Park soft -ball league. The Rodeo
committee proposed to move the lights that are now installed on the
soft -ball diamond at Stanley Park, to the rodeo arena at Stanley park,
with the idea that both the Ball club and the Rodeo Association might
use the lighting. The Ball Club opposed the suggestion, stating that
the inside of the arena would not make a suitable diamond. Following
the discussion, Mayor Brodie informed the committees that Trustees
Graves and Watson would work with them in an effort to solve the
problem to the satisfaction of both parties.
.The Clerk reported that continued correspondence and work was being
done by the Town, in cooperation with the State Highway Department, in
an attempt to secure the necessary right-of-way for the Bureau of Public
Roands project for a new bridge at the lower end of Elkhorn Ave. The
Board approved the proceedure and instructed the Clerk to continue to
cooperate in the efforts being made to acquire the right-of-way.

Meeting called to order by Mayor
Present: Mayor Trustees:
Maurice Cole reported that he had met with Mr. Ben Timmerman of the
Y.M.C.A. Estes Park Conference, together with the Mayor and Clerk.
Mr. Timmerman proposed that the Town take over the private distribu-
tion pystem now owned and operated by the Y.M.C.A. at the Estes Park
Conference Grounds. Mr. Cole agreed to make a survey of the system
in order to estimate the coat of rebuilding parts of it in order to
deliver satisfactory service.
The Clerk reported that under Ordinance No. 115, a new sign installa-
tion should caear the sidewalk by nine feet, and that in most cases
it was very diffuclt to get a nine foot clearance. The Board agreed
that for the protection of the public, an eight foot clearance would
be ample.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn to
Maurice Colets office where Mr. Cole conducted a detail explanation
with black -board drawings of the Town's entire distribution system.
