Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. 28th day of February , A. D. 19 49 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor _ Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: Clarence Graves, S.M. Hurd, Glen Swearingen and George H. Watson. Also Present: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: Trustees G.E. Casey and Merl Morehead. Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 14, read and approved as read. Mr. Luke Cole appeared before the Board asking for the contract to haul all trash within the corporate limits together with the job of caretaker at the city dump. After discussing the proposal, the Board declared that Vern Parker, the present employee, was doing satisfactory work and should remain on the job. The Clerk presented the annual reports for the calander year 1948, as submitted by the Town Auditor, Frank M. Holmes, C.P.A. of Denver, covering the operations of the Water Department, General Fund, and Light & Power Department. Each report was reviewed and discussed in detail. With regard to the operations of the Light & Power Department, the Board of Trustees set the following policy for the year 1949, and informed the Superintendent accordingly: 1. The Department will connect all applicants to whom commitments have been made, as soon as possible, within the limits of our man-hours. 2. Serve all present applicants, even though we are not committed, if service can be installed within the limits of our man-hours, if applicant complies with the terms of the extension policy, and if the Board of Trustees approve the installation. 3. Promise no installation of new major extensions before September 15th, and then only by approval of the Board of Trustees. 4. Purchase no materials beyond the minimum requirements for main- tenance and repair, and installation of extensions for which we are now committed. 5. Maintain a minimum of personnel consistent with operating and maintenance requirements of system and obligation to serve applicants for service. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest: Mayor
