Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the 11th.-.. day of__.0.c best____._____..__, A. D. 1948__ at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Rrnd%P Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.E. Cagey, S.M. Hurd, Merl Morehead, Glen Swearingen and George H. Watson. Also Present: Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: Clarence Graves. Minutes of the regular meeting held on September 27th, read and approved as read. Trustee Watson moved that the following bills be allowed and paid, and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same: Trustee Morehead seconded the motion: Collector of Internal Revenue, return, $227.70 R.W. Brand, services, 300.00 W.H. Kistler 90., supplies 39.00 Liberty Truck & Parts, supplies 82.75 McConnel Pharmacy, supplies 1.25 Conoco Service Station, service 10.84 Colorado Roofing Co., services 15.00 Seybold's Service Station, service 4.16 E.P. Ice & Fuel, fuel, 89.55 Chilson & McCreary, service 25.00 E.P. Trail, supplies 2.64 Merrill Wheel Service; service 23.60 E.P. Plumbers•, service''' . 3.00 Light & Power Dept., power 161.58 Ted Finger Motor Co., services 23.94 American City Magazine, 3.00 Linde Air Products, supplies 3.12 Wages & Salaries, 1,427.13 Water Dept. Operating Expenses 1,378.16 Light & Power, Operating Expenses 14,096.75 Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Casey, Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen and Watson. Those voting "No", none. The Clerk presented the certified 1948 assessed valuation of the Town, together with facts and figures relating to present and future finances of the Town. Following a detail discussion Trustee Watson introduced the following dtim atffit Resolution and moved that it be adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, it is the duly of the Board of Trustees of The Town of Estee Park, Colorado, to make the annual levy to pay the expenses of the Town Government for the fidcal year beginning January let, 1949; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance with Section 3, Chap. 158, of the 1943 Session Laws of Colorado, there is hereby levied onall the taxable property within the corporate limits of the Town of Estes Park, for the fiscal year beginning January let, 1949 and ending December 31st, 1949 (the same being based on the assessed baluation made in the year 1948 and to be collected in the year 1949) a total levy for all purposes of twenty (20) mills on eaoh dollar of assessed valuation of said property. Trustee Casey seconded the motion. The question being upon the pass- ing and adopting of the above Resolution the roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Casey, Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen and Watson. Those voting "No", none. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the - day of A. D. 19- at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayon- . Present: Mayor Trustees: The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Virgil Reed, of the District Land Office, Bureau of Reclamation, under date of September 29, 1948, accompanied by a proposed contract relating to the re— location of a To power line, located between the East border af Stanley Park and the Fish Creek road. The contract was turned to Mr. Maurice Cole in order to work out a few minor changes and to be returned at the next regular meeting. Maurice Cole presented figures covering the winter operations of the Fall River Power Plant for the past three years, as compared with figures for purchasing all power during the winter months. The facts showing that a considerable saving could be made by closing the Pl,pt for the winter months, the Board authorized the Superintendent to do so, starting'October 1, 1949.
