Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the. ?Ctb day of July , A. D. 19 1+8 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor. Ronald Co Brodie Present: Mayor Ronal.d C. 'Brodie Trustees: G., E., 'Casey, Clarence ( , I ! Graves, S.M. Hurd, er1 1orthea, Glen. Swearingen and George H. Watson. Lee H. radiant, Supt. of Works Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power \Terme H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: None. Also Present: Minutes of the regular meeting held on July 12, read and. approved as read. Eight citlzena, representing the Estes Park Rodeo Association, appeared before the Board- ir. George Lambert, Chairman of the Association as that permission be granted the Association to use a mobile lbud-speaker on the streets for th, next two weeks, in order to advettise the Rodeo to be held on. August 7th- The Board grantedp,rmlesion for the loud -speaker to operate afternoon and evenings through August Bth. Mrs. Ruth Hernden and Pat Henry appeared before the Board. andask permission:to erect a tent on Lot 2 of Block, 2, for the purposeof exhibiting -a horse and making a charge to the public therefore." Mayor Brodie explained.. that this would be in violation. of Ordinances 15 and 115; as amended, and that permission would not be granted. Mr. C.M. Hunter appeared before the Board. as a result of a letter written. to'him and other interested parties, under date of July.24, 1948, and ordered written by the Mayor and the Street and. Alley Committee.- Mr. Hunter ask that the Board"issue a permit, Valid for eight year, to occupy that portion of Manford Avenu, now octupie by a. building located. both on Manford Avenue and Lot 36,°White ,Meadow View Place Addition. After discuing° the matttr theturghly Trustee Morehaad Moved that the permit he refused. and that the " owner or owners benotifi d to remove the building from the Town street. Trustee Watson seoonded the motion. Upon roll call. said. motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "leTrustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen. and Watson. Those. voting No None, Mr. Maurice Cole reported. that the: Union. R.E.A. of Brighton had. informed him that they were willing to sell their Aliens Park distribution system to the Town, providing, the Ton would release the Riverside area to the R.E.A- The, Board declared that they still would. like to purthase the dlstribution system in order to service to AllenPark, but would not relinquis a aren certified. to the Town by tbe Public: Utilities Comml.qqloa. Following a dApoussion regarding Town vehicles, the Board pproved the purchaseof a. new Ford Pickup, to he use' by the Water Dept. and the Street Dept.
