Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the..__..Sth day of __ _____March , A. D. 19 48 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.E. Casey, Clarence Graves, S.M. Hurd, Merl Morehead, Glen Swearingen and George H. Watson. Also Present: Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk Absent: None. Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 23rd, read and approved as read. Trustee Morehead moved that the following bills be allowed and paid, and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same; Trustee Casey seconded the motion: Estes Park Garage, supplies Estee Park Library, operations, B.J. McConnell, fees R.H. Haverfield, supplies Liberty Truok & Parts, supplies C.F. Hix, Agent, premium Estes Park Plumbers, supplies Ted Finger Motor Co., supplies R.L. Eslinger, supplies R.A. Becker, services Estes Park Hardware, supplies Estes Park Ice & Fuel, fuel MD. Barnett Company, supplies War Assets Administration, supplies Continental Oil Company, supplies Johnson Supply Co., supplies Light & Power Dept. power W.H. Kistler, supplies Estee Park Lumber, supplies T.H. Farriea, agent, premium Wages & salaries, Water Dept. Those voting "No", None. Mr. Lee Tallant reported to the Board that negotiations were under way with the Bureau of Reclamation to re -locate the Town'a water tap from the Bureau's pen -stock. Mr. S.S. Magoffin appeared before the Board in the intereate of Stanley Park. Mayor Brodie and Trustee Graves reported that they had met with attorneys McCreary and Ball regarding the costa of the Millay & McBride suit. Mr. Magoffin reported that 972 bleacher seats had been ordered for Stanley Park. Following the discussion the Board ordered the Attorneys fees for services paid, also that Millay & McBride be sent a statement for welder rental. Mr. Herman Wilson, Game Warden appeared before the Board asking the Board's opinion on changing the boundary of the Estes Park closed area for big game during the 1948 season. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: Mr. Warren Davie, Secretary of the Chamber of Commeroe, appeared before the Board d explained that in the future the Ch44,ber would not issue memberships to persons purchasing Occupations Licenses, but would ask the merch; ts for a membership fee, pro -rated according to size of business also that it was the intention of the Chamber to eliminate the use of the Occupation License revenue. Mr. Dallas Tanton appe: ed before the Board and ask that if and whenthe Town had regulation of Lake Estes, that he be considered as concession operator. Mr. Carl David appeared before the Board and applied for a 3.2% beer license for his restaurant at Trouthave. The Board declared they would approve no more beer or liquor licenses for 1948.
