Minutes of a ._T.egU.1-_______meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the
day of January , A. D. 19.8__ at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie

Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: Clarence Graves, S.M.
Hurd, Merl Morehead, Glen Swearingen, George H. Watson.
Also Present: Lee H. Tallant, Supt. of Works
Maurice Cole, Supt. of Powe$
Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk
Absent: Trustee G.E. Casey.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on December 22, 1947, read and
approved as read.
Trustee Watson moved that the following bills be allowed and paid
and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same: Trustee
Swearingen seconded the motion:

Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those
voting "Yee" trustees Graves, Hurd, Morehead, Swearingen and
Watson. Those voting "No", none.
Correspondence between Mayor Brodie, Dr. Chas. A. Lory and the
Bureau of Reclamation was read to the Board, relative to zoning
the area surrounding Lake Estes. Following the discussion, the
matter was turned to Trustees Graves and Watson for investigation.
Following a discussion regarding liquor dealers, the Clerk was
instructed to write all dealers reminding them of their respons-
ability under the law.
The Board discussed the fact that the Police Department was issuing
violation tickets for double parking but that an officer was on
duty only part of the day. The decision of the Board was to elimin-
ate all day parking on Elkhorn Avenue and to be more lenient with
double parking.
There being no further business to come before the board, the meeting
adjourned.
