Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie

Maurice Cole, Supt. of Rawer
Verne H. Fanton, Town Clerk
Absent: Trustee, Paul J. Monahan
Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 10, read and
approved ad read.
The Clerk presented a letter from Mr. C.H.Howell, under date of
February 19. The Clerk was instructed to reply that the Board was
still of the opinion as expressed in their letter ofFebruary 11,
regarding a proposed water tank, however, the Board does not feel
that it should attempt to pas a judgment on construction located
on the Bureau of Reclamation. property„
Trustee Hurd reported that the proposed foot bridge at Elkhorn Ave.
and the Thompson river was feasable and th.e cost not prohibitive.
Trustee Hurd was instructed by the Board to proceed with the con-
struction.
The Clerk presented information, prices and delivery date on a
tractor for the Country Club. Following the discussion the Board
approved the purchase and deltagated the Country Club committee to
investigate the purchase of attachments for the tractor.
Mr. L.E. Grace appsared before the Board, appealing to the Board
not to remove the tree from the street in the rear of Block 6.
The Board stated that the tree would not be removed in the near
future, however, it would be removed at such. time as it proved to
be a hazard or interfered with. the ultimate improvement of the
street.
As a matter of convenience to all parties involved, Trustee Graves
moved that the Mayor and. Clerk be authorized to cancel the present
gravel pit lease, providing the stock pile of material would not
have to be moved before July 1, 1947. Trustee Casey seconded the
motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote:
Those voting "Yes" Trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Morehead and. Watson.
Those voting "No", None.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the Big Thompson Mutual Pipe &
Line and Irrigation Company regarding the possibility of property
damage arising from the increase flow of the Thompson River.
The Superintendent of Works and the Town Clerk was instructed to
proceed to establish a practical and workable street line from the
present Prospect Drive Right -of -Way.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn,
