Rom-.--1 —• Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.E. Casey, Clarence Graves, S.M. Hurd, Merl Morehead and George H. Watson. Also Present: Hatfield Chilson, Town Attorney Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk Absent: Trustee Paul J. Monahan. Minutes of the regular meeting held on August llth, read and approved as read. Thereupon Trustte Merl Morehead introduced and there was read in full the following entitled Ordinance, ORDINANCE NO. 113 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, IN A PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $ 110,000. FOR. THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING AND EXTENDING THE ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM OF SAID TOWN, SUCH BONDS AND THE INTEREST THEREON TO -E PAYABLE SELELY FROM THE NET INCOME OF SUCH SYSTEM, PRO* VIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS AND THE INTEREST THEREON, AND DECCARING AN EMERGENCY. It was then moved by Trustee Merl Morehead and seconded by Trustee S.M. Hurd that all rules of this Board, which unless suspended, might prevent the final passage and adoption of this Ordinance at this meeting, be and the same ar hereby suspended for the purpose of permitting the final pasage and adoption of this Ordinance at this meeting. The question being upon the adoption of said motion and the suspension of the ruleg, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Aye", Trustees G.E. Casey, S.M. Hurd, Clarenoe Graves, Merl Morehead and George H. Watson. Those voting "Nay", None. Five members of the Board of Trustees of said Town having voted in favor of said motion, the presiding officer declared said motion carried and the rules suspended. Trustee Merl Morehead then moved that said Ordinance be passed and adopted as read. Trustee S.M. Hurd seconded the motion. The question being upon the passage and adoption of said Ordinance, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Aye", Trustees G.E. Casey, S.M. Hurd Clarence Graves, Merl Morehead and George H. Watson. Those voting "Nay",- Non rw. The presiding officer thereupon declared th t five Trustees having voted in favor thereof, the said motion was carried and the said Ordinance duly passed and adopted. 0n motion duly adopted, it was ordered that said Ordinance be published and recorded according to law. Thereupon Trustee George H. Watson introduced, and there was read in full the following Ordinance,entitled, ORDINANCE NO. 114 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, IN A PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $40,000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING AND EXTENDING THE ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM OF SAID TOWN, SUCH BONDS AND THE INTEREST THEREON TO BE PAYABLE SOLELY FROM THE NET INCOME OF SUCH SYSTEM, PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS AND THE INTEREST THEREON, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. The presiding officer thereupon declared that five Trustees having voted in favor thereof, the said motion was carried and the said Ordinance duly passed and adopted. 0n motion duly adopted, it was ordered that said ordinance be published and recorded according to law. Whereupon Trustee G.E. Casey introduced the following Resolution and moved that it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Highway Department of the State of Colorado is about to construct a new highway along Fall River and through a por- tion of the land owned by the Town of Estes Park and located near the power plant, AND WHEREAS, said Department has asked the Town to convey ap- proxiatemly 1.6 acres of land for right-of-way purposee, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Town Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to sign a deed to the Highway Depart- ment for such purposes. Upon roll call said motion carried and said Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Morehead and Watson. Those voting "No", None. Twenty Five citizens appeared before the Board, all expressing their opinion in favor of the proposed zoning Ordinance. Following the hearing, Trustee G.E. Casey introduced an Ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE ZONING THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO and moved that said ordinance be passed and adopted. Said Ordinance having been read in full, Trustee S.M. Hurd seconded the motion. The roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Yes" trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Morehead and Watson. Those voting "No", None. Whereupon Mayor Brodie declared that five Trustees having voted in favor of the Ordinance, said Ordinance was duly passed and adopted, ordered it numbered 115, and published according to law. 503 Teton of &APO Park, Larimer County, Colorado, , 19 Minutes of a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: °ile Clerk presented a letter to the Board from the State Highway Depart ent asking to what extent the Town would obligata the selves toward acquiring the right-of-way for a new bridge at the East end of Elkhorn 'Avenue. Th Clerk was instructed that the Town would acquire the 3* acre tri-angle of land belonging to the Stanley Hotel property Ord would contribute! u to $ 2, 00.0+i on acquiring the Continental Bulk P1r?t property. The Clerk presented the application for the rea.. ewal of the 3.2,E beer license of the Estes Park Pool Hall. Trustee Morehead mowed the the application be approved.
