Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the llth
day of March , A. D. 19 46 at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie
Present Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.E. Casey, C.A. Graves,
S.H. Hurd, Paul J. Monahan, and Geo. H. Watson.
Also Presents Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk
Lee H. Tenant, Water Supt.
Maurice Cole, Supt. Of Light & Power.
Absents None.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 25, read and approved as read.
Trustee Casey moved that the following bills be allowed and paid, and that
the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same: Trustee Monahan seconded
the motion.

Upon roll call said motion carried by the following votes Thoae voting "Yee"
trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Manahan and Vfateon. Those voting "No", None.
Trustee Casey introduced the following Resolution and moved that it be adopted.
Trustee Watson, eeoonded the motion.

o r EAST the Town of Estes Park has an option to purchase the following
described premises, to -wits
Lots Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8), Nine (9), Ten (10), Eleven (11),
and Twelve (12), Block Four (4), Tovn. of Estes Park, Colorado, according to the
second amended plat thereof:
for the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars (20,000.00), payable either in cash
or at the rate of Three Touaand Dollars ($3,000.00) per year with interest on
all deferred payments at the rate of four per cent per annum, payable semi-
annually:
AND WHEREAS, said option expires on June 1, 1946, unless sooner exercised;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TO 'r OF

Meeting called to order by Mayor,
Present: Mayor Trustees:
1. That is is necessary and desirable that the above described premises be
acquired by the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, to be used for municipal purposes.
2. That the Board of Trustees do hereby determine that the purchase of said
property should be made at the rate of $3,000.00 per year, rather than in cash.
3. That it is the intention of the Board of Trustees to budget and appropriate
sufficient funds each year to meet the installments of principal and interest
coming due in su,rceeding years.
4. That the question of the purchase of said premises should be submitted
to the qualified voters of the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, at the regular electi
of Town officers to be held on April 2, 1946.
Upon roll call said Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the following
vote; Those voting 'Yes", trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Monahan and Watson.
Those voting "Ao" None.
Trustee S.M. Hurd introduced and ordinance entitled
AN ORDINANCE BUBMITTrau,G TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE
TOWN OF ESTES PARR, COLORADO, THE QUESTION Of WHETHER
0R NOT TH::. TO SHALL ACQUIRE CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.
The Ordinance was then read in full. Trustee Hurd moved that maid ordinance
be passed and adopted. Trustee Graves seconded the motion. The motion being
upon the passing and adopting of said Ordinance the roll was called with the
following result; Those voting "Yea", trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Monahan
and Watson. Those voting "No", None. Whereupon Mayor Brodie declared said
Ordinance duly passed and adopted, ordred it numbered 108, and published
according to law.
Trustee Watson introduced the following Resolution;
RESOLUTI O N
WHEREAS, by the Statutes of the State of Colorado, the 2nd day of April
1946 is fixed as the time for the election of the Mayor and six trustees of
the Town of Estes Park;
AND WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Board of Trustees to provide for
holding such election and appointing the Judges to conduct it:
AND WHEREAS, the time for the filing of nominations with the Torn Clerk
and Recorder has expired;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that an election for the purpose of electing
a Mayor and six Trustees shall be held on Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1946;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the polling place shall be the Town Hall
located within the Town of Estes Park, that the polls shall be open from seven
o'clock A.M. until seven o'clock P1M. on said election day; that Chas. A.
Chapman, George W. Smith, Ora Carr, Nettie Rivers and Hazel Baldwin be and they
are hereby appointed as the Judges of said election, to conduct the same, and
they shall receive for their services the sum of ten dollars each;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk & Recorder be and he is hereby
authorized to give notice of the election by publication as provided by law;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk & Recorder shall, at the ex—
pense of the Town have said Ballots printed, and shall, at the expense of the
Town arrange for voting booths and such materials and supplies for such election
as may be neceeaary.
Said Resolution was then read in full. Trustee Watson moved the adoption
of said Resolution. Trustee Monahan seconded the motion. Said Resolution was
duly passed and adopted by the following vote; Those voting "Yes", trueteee
Casey, Graves, Hurd, Monahan and Watson. Those voting MO, none,

Meeting called to order by Mayor
Present: Mayor Trustees:
Trustee Casey moved that Harold E. Thompson be appointed a deputy marahall of
the Town, to serve without compensation. Trustee Watson seconded the motfon.
Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote. Those voting "Yes"
trustees Casey, Graves Hurd, Monahan and Watson. Those voting "Bo", None.
The Clerk reported that the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department had elected
the following officers for 1946: Chief, Y.L. McCracken, Asst. Chief, Maurice
Rockwell, Secretary, Y.H. Fenton. The Board ordered said officers approved.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly
moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
