Minutes of a ...rear meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the
day of. Bebrna r .,. ,., ,,.. , A. D. 19 .46 at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor, Ronald C.BPodie

Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trustees: G.B. Casey, C.A. Graven,
S.M. Hurd, Paul J. Monahan and George H. ateon.
Also Present: Lee H. Tallent, (Pater Supt.
Maurice Cole, Supt. of Power
Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk.
Absent: None.
Minutes of the regular meeting held on February 11, read and approved as read.
Mr. Harry A. Yenley appeared before the Board, eupporting a Club Liquor License,
application, in the name of Estes Park Post 119, American Legion Club. Following
an explanation and Board discussion, Trustee Gasey moved that the application
be approved. Traatee Hurd seconded the motion. Upon roll pall said motion
carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Caney, Graves,
Hurd, Monahan and Watson. Those voting "No", None.
The Clerk reviewed correspondence with Mr. V.C. Basumesaen, regarding the leas-
ing of the country club for 1946. Following the discussion, trustee Graves
moved that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to enter into a lease with
Mr. Rasmussen for the operation of the Country Club for the 1946 season only,
stipulating that the Club shall be in operation for a minimum period of June 1,
to September 15, with a loer period of operation,' optional. Trustee Batson
seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following votes
Those voting "Yes", Trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Monahan and °atson. Those
voting "No", None.
Trastee Monahan and Mayor Brodie reported to the Board concerning their. meeting
with the County Commissioners on February 20th. The Board was informed that the
Commissioners were favorable toward the proposition of useing 3% gas tax money
for the construction of a new bridge at the lower end of Elkhorn Avenue. The
committee plans to contact the State Highway Department as soon as possible
regarding the project.
The Clerk read the Auditors report for 1945, covering the General Pond and the
Water Department, submitted by Frank M. Holmes, C.P.A. of Denver. The reports
were reviewed by the Board, whereupon Mayor Brodie deolared the reports eatie-
!factory and ordered them published according to law.
Maurice Cole reported on possible ways of installing 2000 feet of new pen-
stock at the power plant. Trustee Casey moved that Maurine Cole be authorized
to employ Mr. F.A, Heckendorf to install the pipe on an equipment rental basis.
Trustee Watson seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the
following votes Those voting "Yee'", trustees Casey, Graves, Hurd, Monahan
and Watson. Those voting "Bo", None.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly
moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn.
