HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Town Board 1945-04-2342 Croton of eoteo park, Larimer County, Colorado, April 23 to 45 Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the day of April , A. D. 19 45 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Glen H. Pee st on Present: Mayor Glen H. Preston Trustees: G.E. Casey, S.M. Hurd, R.H. Lindley, Paul J. Monahan and George H. Watson. Also Present: Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk Lee H. Tallant Superintendent of Works Maurice Cole, Superintendent of Light & Power Absent, Trustee C.A. Graves. Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 9, read and approved as read. The Clerk read a petition presented to the Board and signed by 28 business operators within the Town, requesting a new and adequate Ordinance regulating auction sales. Following a discussion, the Clerk was instructed to contact the Town Attorney regarding the possibility of adopting such an Ordinance. A liquor license application for the Alpine Inn location, signed by Bette Hendricks, was read to the Board. Due to the Resolution passed by the Board on April 9th, and the petition on file from property owners in this district protesting the issuance of such a license, the Clerk was instructed to no- tify the applicant that the application would not be approved. or Preston reported to the Board concerning a meeting with Mr. Howell and Mr. Radcliff of the Bureau of Reclamation, relative to the contract between the Bureau and the Town. Clerk reported to the Board on the progress made to date, by the Town, in acquiring outstanding stock of the Country Club. Mayor Preston reviewed the accomplishments made and future objectives of the 10 point program outlined by the Board in April, 1942. • urice Cole reported on the present operations of the Light & Power Dept. ibvt•leamext IegIxitz lutrxiew*Arki Following a discussion regarding zoning in the Estee Park area by the County, Trustee Lindley moved that the • or and the Clerk be instructed to contact the Larimer County Zoning Engineer, Mr. Pesman, relative to the possibility of zoning within the Town. Trustee Casey seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monahan and Watson. Those voting "No", None. There being no further business before the meeting, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest: Town Clerk
