Preston Present: Mayor Glen H.Preston Trustees: G.E. Casey, Robert H. Lindley, Baul J. Monahan and George H. Watson. Also present: Verne H. Fenton, Town Clerk. Absent: R.C. Brodie & S.M. Hurd. Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 24, read and approved as read. Trustee Lindley moved that the following bills be allowed and paid. Trustee Casey seconded the motion. U.H. Fanton, salary E.E. Holton, salary Carl Hyatt, salary V.L. McCracken, wages Lee H. Tallant, salary Carl J. Hyatt, wages Estes Park Bank, exchange Petty Cash Fund, Supplies Estes Park Library, subscription Public Service Company, service Frank M. Holmes, services Chas. F. Hix Agent, premium Bradford -Robinson Printing Co., sup Equipment & Depreciation Fund, Estes Park Hardware, supplies Preston Garage, supplies Estes Park Lumber Co, supplies Estes Park Trail, publishing Estes Park Ice & Fuel, fuel Mine & Smelter Supply Co., supplies Continental 0i1 Co., supplies Monahan Motor Co., supplies Lallie Instrument Co., supplies Upon roll call above motion carried Those voting "Yes", trustees Casey, Watson. Those voting "No", None. $ 68.70 90.60 11.25 85.00 95.90 5.00 16.73 36.50 100.00 108.40 210.00 5.00 plies 10.00 136.11 7.94 159.66 1.35 58.55 60.69 218.30 4.91 6.00 19.56 by the following vote: Lindley, Monahan and Following a short discussion, Trustee Lindley introduced the following Resolution: RESOLUTI 0 N WHEREAS, according to the second amended plat of The Town of Estes Park, a certain block of ground designated as "Park", is now the property of The. Town of Estes Park; AND WHEREAS, public buildings of the Town, together with a public park, are now located on said property; AND WHEREAS, The Town of Estes Park acquired said pro- perty by gift and donation from one C.H. Bond, now deceased a pioneer resident and civic minded builder of this community; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTTES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, that in order to perpetuate the memory of C.H. Bond, said block of ground is hereby dedicated to C.H. Bond and henceforth shall be know as "Bond Park". Said Resolution was then read in full. Trustee Casey moved the adoption of the Resolution. Trustee Watson seconded the motion. Upon roll call said Resolution was duly adopted and passed by the following vote: Coin of &aro Park, Larimer County, Colorado, , 19 Minutes of a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the A. D. 19 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: Those voting "Yes", trustees Casey, Lindley, :Monahan and Watson. Those voting "No", none. The Clerk read a letter addressed. to the Mayor & Board of Trust,es from Trustee Ronald C. Brodie, now in the armed services. Mayor Preston reported to the Board. that the Town had con- tacted the U.S. Treasury Department regarding the purchase of a used truck. The, Town was informe that a used truck might be available .in the near future. Also that the Town had made application to the War Production Board. for approval to purchase a new power grader. The auditors report, By Frank M. Holxmes, C.P.A. of Denver, was read, in full by the Clerk, covering the General Fund, Water Fund, Stanley Park Fund, and, Stanley .Magoffin Accouxnt, for the, fiscal year ending March. 31, 1944. Following the discussion, trustee Casty moved that; said reports be accepted. Trustee Watson, seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Casey, Lindley, Monahan and Watson. Those voting "No", none. Byinviation of the Board, a group of substantial tax. - payers of the Town, appeared before the Blard. The balance of the meeting was devoted to a review and explanation of all phases of the Towns operations of the past year, and of the plans being made for the coming year. All present entered into an open discussion and questions. The tax- payers expressed their satisfaction with the general operationsof the Town.
