Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the , day of April A. D. 19. 4? at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor. Glen H. Preston Present: Mayor Glen H. Preston Trustees: Ronald C. Brodie, G.E. Ca.sey, S.M. Hurd, .R.H. Lindley, Paul J. Monahan, and George H. Watson. Absent, None. Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 13, read and approved. as read_ R.H. Lindley reported on the activities of the Street & Alley Committee, including a meeting with County Commissioner R.C. Benson. The Committee was instructed to proceed and secure the chips, if possible, for the proposed seal coating of oiled streets. Mayor Preston reported that he had met with the State Highwaydepartment in Denver, G.E. Casey, chairman of Parks & Public Buildings Committee, reported his committee had. met with the Chamber of Commerce, and that the committee recommended a rental charge of $ 400.00 to the Chamber of Commerce for 1942. Following a discussion, R.C. Brodie moved. and Paul J. Monahan. seconded the motion that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to draw a lease with the Chamber of Commerce covering their present quarters, for the calander year 1942, fixing the rental at $ 400.00. Upon roll caul. above motion carried by the following vote; "Yes", trustees Brodie, Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monahan & Watson. No, None. George Watson. reported on the Public Utilities Committee,. G.E. Casey moved and S.M. Hurd seconded the motion that the Clerk be instructed to write the Bureau of Reclamation at Estes Park, stateing that; The Town of Estes Park was interested In placing an application with the Bureau to purchase Federal Power when it is available. Upon roll call motion. carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Brodie, Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monahan and Watson. Those voting "No", None. R.C. Brodie reported that the Finance Committee had :net with the Mayor, Clerk and. Water Superintendent, and discussed all past due accounts. R.H. Lindley moved and George H. Watson seconded the motion that. the finance committee's report and. recommendations be accepted, and that the Clerk be instructed to act accordingly. Upon roll call above motion carried by the following vote: "Yes", trustees Brodie, Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monahan & Watson. "No", None. Upon the advise of the Town Attorney, Hatfield Chilson, the Clerk was instructed to secure a Treasurer's Deed on the Kenneth King property, Lot 1..0, Mt, View Park Addition. A letter from the Estes Park Library Budget Committee was read to the Board, asking for an additional ten to fifteen dollars to be donated by the Twon. The Clerk was instructed to write the Committee, explaining that the Town was not in a position to increase their donation over the amount budgeted for this purpose. Trustee Brodie moved and. Trustee Lindley seconded the motion that on May 1.., the Town pay to the Chamber of Commerce all Occupational Taxes collected to that date. Upon roll call motion carriedby the following vote: "Yes", trustees Brodie, Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monataan, & Watson. "NO", None. There being no liquor applications on file with the Town at this time, and the Board being of the ofin6on that there were enough. liquor establishments within the Town for this year, Trustee Casey moved and trustee Hurd seconded the motion 309 Caton of Cana Park, Larimer County, Colorado, 19 Minutes of a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colcirado, .Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the day of , A. D. 19 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: that the Town issue no more hard liquor licenses for 1942. Upon roll call above motion carried by the following vote: Those voting "Yes", trustees Brodie, Casey, Hurd, Lindley, Monahan, and Watson. Those voting "No", None. Mayor Preston appointed G.E. Casey and R.C. Brodie as a committee to purchase new uniforms for the police. Mayor Preston appointed Paul J. Monahan to represent the Town on the Civilian Defense Council. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly swx. moved; seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest: Clerk
