Present: Mayor C.N. Rockwell Trustees: Ronald C. Brodie, G.E. Casey, Glen H. Preston George H. Watson. Absent: Guy W. Albright, R.H. Lindley Minutes of the regular meeting held on the 9th day of December read and approved as read. Trustee Casey moved and Trustee Watson seconded the motion tLat the following bills be allowed and paid, and the clerk be instruced to draw warrants for same: W.E. Baldridge, supplies 30.25 Lee H. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the... day of_..,.....,. Meeting called to order by Mayor..,,.. at regular meeting hour. Present: Mayor Trustees: The following petition was read in full and presented to the Board. " We, the following members of the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department, constituting a majority of the members of the Fire Department, request the Town Board of the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park Firemen's Pension Fund Association to use such portion of the Firemen's Pension Fund as they see fit for the purpose of paying the premium on a blanket insurance policy insuring the members of the Estes Park Fire Department for accidents occuring to members while on duty or during practices of the Fire Department in accordance with Chapter 116 of the Session Laws of Colorado, 1935." Whereupon Trustee Brodie Moved and Trustee Preston seconded the motion that The Board of Trustees of The Town of Estes Park hereby approve and allow the expenditure of One Hundred Dollars from the Firemen's Pension Fund to apply on the premium for a blanket insurance policy to cover the Estes Park Volunteer Firemen. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the following vote; Yes, trustees Brodie, Casey, Preston & Watson. No, None. The fact that Raymond Hurt had asked for an Increase in salary was brought to the attention of the board. After some discussion and a report being made on Mr. Hurt's actual duties with the Town, Trustee Brodie moved and trustee Preston seconded the motion that Mr. Hurt's salary be increased to $ 150.00 per month,,tiat a record be kept of work done by him,that his salary' be paid in proportion by each fund benefting by his work. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the following vote, Yes; trustees Brodie, Casey, Preston & Watson. No, None. A letter from Mr. B.V. Howe, Secretary of Rocky Mountain Section of American Water Works Association, was read to the board. The letter announced a five day school for water superntendents to be held in Denver Starting February loth, and asking that the board cooperate in making the school a success. Trustee Casey moved and trustee Watson seconded the motion that Water Superintendent Lee H. Tallant be enrolled in the school for the five day seViession. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the following vote; yes trustees Brodie, Casey, Preston & Watson. No. None. Mayor Rockwell reported that on January 8th, 1941, he had met with trustee Casey and trustee Watson, Supt. of Works, Lee H. Tallant, Engineer Carroll H. Coberly, Attorney Robert Y. McCreary, R.J. Lawrence, contractor, and N.J. Thompson of the Thompson Manufacturing Company, to discuss the reasons for delay on the Glacier Creek Pipe Line. Mr. R.J. Lawrence informed the Mayor the work was being delayed due to lack of proper material on hand. Mr. N.J. Thompson reported that The Thompson Manufacturing Company was partly to blame for this delay. It was understood that upon completion of the job, a compromise and settlement would be undertaken. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting adjourn. Mayor
