Minutes of a special
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer
County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the 21
day of Oct • , A. D. 19.4°. at regular meeting hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor C.N. Rockwell
Present: Mayor C.N. Rockwell Trustees:Guy W. Albright, Ronald
C. Brodie, G.E. Casey, R.H. Lindley, Glen H. Preston
George H. Watson. Engineer, Carroll H. Coberly.
Absent: None.
This meetin was called for the purpose of analyzing bids
that were received for the water pipe to be installed on
the Glacier Creek water line, and also to award a contract
to the successful bidder on same. The bids being advertised
and received according to law, tlge board proceeded to act
on the bids, ass the best interests of the town might be served.
The following firms subnitted bids;
The Thompson Manufacturing Company
The R. Hardesty Manufacturing Company
The Mine & Smelter Supply Company
The Warner Company, Inc.
The Water Works Sales Compax}y
The Crane-O'Fallon Company
Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company
Hendrie & Bolthoff Manufacturing & Supply Company
Various representatives of the above firms were called be-
fore the board and outlined their bids and explained the
value of their products. The final discussion on the bids
having been completed, Trustee Preston moved and trustee
Brodie seconded the motion that The Town award a contract
according to specifications, to the low bidder, providing
Dresser Couplings and Dresser armoured gaskets be furnished,
The low bidder being The Thompson Manufacturing Company of
Denver.Said motion carried by following vote: Yes, trustees Albright,
Brodie, Casey, Lindley, Preston and Watson.
The provision of the motion having been entered in the
contract, the contract was executed between The Town of
Estes Park and The Thompson Manufacturing Company of Denver
this 21 day of October, 1940.
There being no further business to comes before the meeting
it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the meeting
adjorn.
