Meeting called to order by Mayor C. 11, 13.ockwell.
Present: Mayor C. N. Rockwell Trustees: Harry B. Boyn, Ronald C.
Brodie, Garay E. Casey, C. By'ron Mall and Glen H. Preston. Clerk; Chas. F.
Hix. Absent; Trustee Silas M. Hurd.
The meeting was called by the. ayor for the Purpose of considering the endor-
sement of Senate Bill. No. 2651 which proposes the extension. of the boundaries
of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Trustee Casey introduced the following
Resolution and moved for its acceptance.
RESOLUTION
'WHEREAS there is now in session in Estes Park a SonatenCommittee on Public
Lands and Surveys investigating the proposed enlargement of Rocky Mountain Nat-
ional Park, and
WHEREAS Senate Bill No. 2651 of the 76th Congress has been introduced,
said Bill being entitled 'A Bill To add Certain :Lands to the Rocky Mountain Nat-
ional Park in the State of Colorado, and for other purposes,"
AND WHEREAS Mr. Thomas J. Allen, District Supervisor of National Parks in
this district, has asked Mayor Rockwell for this Board's endorsement of Senate
Bill No. 2651
THEREFORE BE" IT RESOLVED that this Board go on record as giving its un-
qualified endorsement of Senate Bill No. 2651 which proposes the enlargement of
Rocky Mountain National Park
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate subcomittes on Public Lands
and Surveys now in session in Estes Park be advised by letter of the Board's
endorsement of Senate Bill No. 2651."
Trustee Hall seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion was carried by
the .following vote; Yes: Trustees Boyd, Brodie, Casey, Hall and Preston.
No; None. Whereupon the Mayor declared said Resolution passed and adopted.
Mrs. Lou R. irshaii asked permission to move a cottage from the Virginia Drive
right-of-way. Whereupon Trustee Hall moved and Trustee Preston seconded the
motion that Mrs. Lou Marshall be given permission to move said cottage now sit-
uated partly or wholly in the street right-of-way of the Town of Estes Park along
the North side of Lot 5, Block 10, Town of Estes Park, to that portion of said
Lot which she now owns or contemplates buying; on condition that if said cottage
is not moved back wholley on that portion of Lot 5 at this time that she will do
so at any time that she is requested to move it off of the right-of-way of Virgi-
nia Drive by the Town Board. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the
following vote; Yes: Trustees Boyd, Brodie, Casey Hall and Preston. No; none.
There being no further business to coma before the meeting was regularly moved,
seconded and carried that meeting adjounn.
