Preston Town Attorney Hatfield Chilean and Carl Sandburn were also present at this meeting. Minutes of regular meeting held January 24, 193a, were read and approved as read. Mr. Sandburn came before the meeting to discuss with the Mayor and Trustees and the Town attorney the matter of entering into a contract with the Town for 100 acre feet of water which the Town would contract to purchase:Bor him from the Grand Lake -Big Thompson Diversion project. As it was reported that there would be approximately 2 years in which to arrive at a definite decision in the matter and in which to draw up contracts etc., no definite action was taken at this meeting. There followed a discussion of a filing made by the Estes Park Water Company and known as the Glacier Creek Pipe Line, made in ii=y, 1925, which filing has since been purchased along with other assets of the Water Co., by the Town of Estes Park. The question discussed in connection with the filing was whether or not the Rocky Mountain National Park would consider the right-of-way through lands which might be acquired in the future by the Rocky Mountain National Park under House Bill # HR-8969, introduced by Congressman Taylor of Colorado in the House of Representatives on January 14, 1938. After discussion it was moved by Trustee Hall and seconded by Trustee Casey that the Clerk is hereby instructed to write to Senators Edwin C. Johnson and Alva B. Adams, and Representatives Edward Taylor and Fred W. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: ; tn the present Bill by amendment to give the Town pipe -line and dam - site right-of-way as described in the Glacier Creek Pipe -line filing. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the following votes Aye, Trustees Boyd, Casey, Hall and Rivers. Nay, none. Trustee Hall moved and Trustee Rivers seconded the motion that the following persons be appointed Judges of Election for the coming election to be held on Tuesday, April 5, 1938; Rodger Low, Ethel Fulton, Beulah J. Wright, and that the Clerk is hereby instructed to publish the usual election notice calling said election. Upon roll call said motion was carried by the following vote: Aye, Trustees Boyd, Casey, Hall and Rivers. Nay, none.
