RESOLUTION68-20ARESOLUTIONLEVYINGPROPERTYTAXESFORTHEYEAR2020TOHELPDEFRAYTHECOSTSOFGOVERNMENTFORTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADOFORTHE2021BUDGETYEARWHEREAS,theBoardofTrusteesoftheTownofEstesParkwilladopttheannualbudgetinaccordancewiththeLocalGovernmentBudgetLawonNovember24,2020;andWHEREAS,theamountofmoneynecessarytobalancethebudgetforgeneraloperatingpurposesfrompropertytaxrevenueis$409,185;andWHEREAS,theTownofEstesParkfindsthatitisrequiredtotemporarilylowertheoperatingmilllevytorenderarefundfor$29,447;andWHEREAS,the2020valuationforassessmentfortheTownofEstesParkascertifiedbytheCountyAssessoris$241,742,740.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFTRUSTEESOFTHETOWNOFESTESPARK,COLORADO:Section1:ForthepurposeofmeetingallgeneraloperatingexpensesoftheTownofEstesParkduringthe2021budgetyear,thereisherebyleviedataxof1.822millsuponeachdollarofthetotalvaluationforassessmentofalltaxablepropertywithintheTownfortheyear2020.Section2:Forthepurposeofrenderingarefundtoitsconstituentsduringbudgetyear2021,thereisherebyleviedatemporarytaxcredit/milllevyreductionof0.129mills.Section3:TheFinanceDirectorisherebyauthorizedanddirectedtoimmediatelycertifytotheCountyCommissionersofLarimerCounty,Colorado,themillleviesfortheTownofEstesParkashereinabovedeterminedandset,butasrecalculatedasneededuponreceiptofthefinal(December)certificationofvaluationfromtheLarimerCountyAssessorinordertocomplywithanyapplicablerevenueandotherbudgetarylimits.DATEDthisv-fdayof_____________________,2020.TOWNOFESTESPARKWaor/ATTEST:1nClerkAPPROVEDASTOFORM:TownAttorney
