RESOLUTIONS AND LETTERS OF SUPPORT ARE NEEDED TO FURTHER
THE LEGISLATION NOW IN CONGRESS TO E)AND THE BOUNDARIES OF
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK TO INCLUDE LIIZY LAKE AND THE
REI CHHARDT PROPERTI ES.
We need to state our support for this legislation. It
provides for the inclusion of Lilty Lake (Approx.300 acres),
and the Reichhardt property to the north,(Approx.160 acres)
into Rocky Mountain National Park at no cost to the government.*
If this is not done the Lilly Lake property, presently
approved for 300 double house sites, will continue to be
developed.The Reichhardt property,presently undeveloped,
will come under pressure from adjoining development. The owners
of these properties support this P.arkenlargement proposal. The
local and national communities will benefit from the protection.
of these scenic areas.Lily Lake was the site of the “Mountain
Man Rendezvous”scene in the TV movie of Centennial.
