RESOLUTION 3-90
WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park has entered into a Ground
Lease Agreement and a Golf Course Lease Agreement with the Estes
Park Building Authority for the construction and installation of
improvements to the existing clubhouse for the 18-hole municipal
golf course,including the acquisition of equipment,the con
struction and installation of certain new fairways,greens and
tees,including the realignment of certain fairways,greens and
tees,and the construction of a new maintenance building for the
golf course (collectively,the “Project”);and
WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Valley Recre
ation and Park District have entered into an Operating Agreement
which provides for the operation and maintenance of the Project,
including annual payments of Base Rentals;and
WHEREAS,pursuant to the terms and provisions of said
documents,the Town of Estes Park will realize General Fund
revenue in the total amount of $1,058,252 within the 1990 budget
year;and
WHEREAS,this contingency could not have been reasonably
foreseen at the time of the adoption of the 1990 Budget.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of
the Town of Estes Park,Colorado:
1.The Town of Estes Park hereby appropriates into the
General Fund Parks Department the amount of $1,058,852 of which
$946,500 is for capital construction of the Project,and $112,352
is for the 1990 Base Rental Payment pursuant to the Golf Course
Lease Agreement.
2.The source of funding for the above appropriation into
the General Fund Parks Department is revenues provided to the
Town of Estes Park pursuant to the terms of the Golf Course Lease
Agreement between the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park
Building Authority,dated as of January 15,1990,and the Operat
ing Agreement between the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Valley
Recreation and Park District,dated as of January 15,1990.
