HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 08-83ORDINANCE NO. 8-83 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO ANIMALS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO: Section 1. That Section 7.08.070 (1) is amended hereto to read as follows: 1. Permits may be issued only to owners and lessees of livery stables and to resident owners or lessees of real property located within R-1 residence districts or R-2 multiple family residence districts. Permits may be issued only to owners or lessees of real property located within R-residence districts for their personal horses provided the minimum lot size is five acres or more and the number of horses not to exceed four. Section 2. That Section 7.08.070 (2) is amended hereto to read as follows: 2. Except for property within R-residence districts, a maximum of two horses may be kept or maintained on the first acre of land described in each permit and an additional horse may be kept or maintained for each additional acre of land described in each permit; provided, however, that this limita- tion shall not apply to livery stables. Any real property included in a permit issued hereunder shall not be included in another permit. Section 3. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Colorado, herewith finds, determines and designates that this Ordinance is necessary for their immediate preserva- tion of the public peace, health and safety, in order to provide for uniform animal regulations; and whereas, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, an emergency exists, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately after its passage, adoption and signature of the Mayor.
