HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 14-810 0 ORDINANCE NO.14 -81 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARE, COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO THE ESTATE DISTRICTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARE,COLORADO: Section 1.That Chapter 17.40.020 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended to read as follows: 17.40.020 Permitted uses.No building or premise shall be used,and no building shall be hereafter erected or structurally altered unless otherwise provided herein, except for one or more of the following uses: 1.One-family dwelling; 2.Uses customarily incidental to the above use when located on the same lot and not involving the conduct of a business on the premises; 3.Accessory buildings (limited to private garages); 4.Domestic animals,provided such animals are house hold pets and that kennels are not maintained; 5.Public utility mains,lines and substations,where no public office and no repair or storage facilities are maintained; 6.Fences,hedges and walls,provided such uses are less than three and one—half feet in height when located within one hundred feet of the centerline intersection of two streets or roads; 7.The use of licensed mobile vehicles of radio or television stations or newspapers used to gather and transmit news to their place of publication or broadcast,so long as that place is not a street,alley,sidewalk or other public way or place within the town limits,and there is no audible or visual transmission from the vehicles; 8.Uses permitted by special review:none. Section 2.That Chapter 17.40.030 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended to read as follows: 17.40.030 Yards.For every one family dwelling there shall be a front yard,rear yard and side yard of not less than forty feet.Also,each detached garage shall be set back from all lot lines a distance of at least forty feet. Section 3.That Chapter 17.40.050 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended to read as follows: 17.40.050 Floor area per dwelling.There shall be 0 0 permitted upon each lot one residence building containing not less than one thousand three hundred square feet of floor area,excluding garage,and one private garage which might be either a separate structure or combined with the residence house. Any basement shall not be included in the above minimum floor areas. Section 4.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates that this Ordinance is necessary for their immediate preserva tion of the public peace,health and safety,in order to provide for uniform zoning requirements;and whereas,in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency exists,this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately after its passage,adoption and signature of the Mayor. / V z,%n,7 Maypt I hereby certify that the above Ordinance was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on the 25thday of August ,1981,and published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Estes Park, Colorado,on the 28thday of August ,1981,all as required by the Statutes of the State of Colorado. /7/Town Clerk —2—
