ORDINANCE NO.10-81
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK
COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO THE
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
ESTES PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.That chapter 14.12.040 of the Municipal
Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended
to read as follows:
14.12.040 Section 307 (a)amended ——Use or Occupancy.
Section 307 (a)of the Uniform Building Code is amended to read
as follows:
“Section 307 (a)——Use or Occupancy.No building or
structure of Group A,E,I,H,B,or R Occupancy,shall be
used or occupied,and no change in the existing occupancy
classification of a building or structure or portion thereof
shall be made until the building official has issued a
Certificate of Occupancy therefore as provided herein.
Section 2.That Chapter 14.12 of the Municipal
Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,shall be amended
thereto by adding thereto a new Section 14.12.050 as follows:
14.12.050 Violation.A.It is unlawful for any person
to violate any of the provisions stated or adopted in the
Uniform Building Code.
B.Every person convicted of a violation of any provi
sion stated or adopted in the Uniform Building Code shall be
punished as set forth in Section 1.20.020 of this code.
Section 3.The Board of Trustees of the Town of
Estes Park,Colorado1 herewith finds,determines and designates
this this Ordinance is necessary for their immediate preserva
tion of the public peace,health and safety,in order to
provide for uniform building code;and whereas,in the
opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emergency exists,this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
after its passage,adoption and signature of the Mayor.

the 9th day of June ,1981,and published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Estes Park,
Colorado,on the l2thday of June ,1981,all as
required by the Statutes of the State of Colorado.
