Graves,George J.lix, Paula L.Laing,Richard A.Wood Mayor Harry B.Tregent opened the meeting of the Board of Trust ees.Trustee George Hix moved for approval of the minutes of the meeting held March 27,1984.Trustee Byron Graves seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes” Trustees Hix,Graves,Dannels and Wood.Those voting “No”none. Judge James 11.Littlejohn administered the oath of office to newly elected Mayor H.Bernerd Dannels and newly elected Trustees Paula Laing,Mark Brown and Norbert Aldrich. Mayor Tregent presented the gavel to the new Mayor,H.Bernerd Dannels. Trustee George Hix moved the bills as presented be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for the same. (A certified copy of the bills presented and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date,and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Byron L.Graves seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees Norbert L.Aldrich, Mark T.Brown,Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix,Paula L.Laing and Richard A.Wood.Those voting “No”none. Mayor H.Bernerd Dannels opened a public hearing on Prospect Mountain Subdivision,a P.U.D Third Filing Application.A request had been received from Van Horn Engineering asking for a continuation of the hearing until April 24,1984.Trustee George Hix moved the Prospect Mountain Subdivision,P.U.D.Third Filing Application hearing be continued until April 24,1984.Trustee Mark Brown sebonded the motion and it passed unanimously. Mr.Jim Duell,representing the Estes Park Jaycees,appeared before the Hoard to request permission to use parking lot number one for the Jaycees annual garage sale on Sunday,April 29th from 8:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m.Trustee Richard Wood moved the request be granted.Trustee George Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Mr.Duell then requested the Town contribute up to $500.00 toward the 1984 July 4th fireworks,should the Jaycees solicitation drive fall short,and also requested the Town’s mailing list be given to the Jaycees at a cost savings of $125.00.Trustee Byron L.Graves moved the requests be granted up to $625.00,which includes the mailing list.Trustee George Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Mr.James Dunlap,General Manager of the Holiday Inn of Estes Park,presented a Request to Modify the Premises at 101 S.St. Vram Avenue.Trustee Mark Brown moved the Request to Modify Premises be approved.Trustee Norbert Aldrich seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Public Works Director presented a plat to the Board of Trustees which proposes the Town vacate a portion of Spruce Drive adjacent to Block 9,2nd Amended Plat of the Town of Estes Park in ex change for a Dedicated four—foot strip of land of Block 9 along Elkhorn Avenue.The property is owned by James F.and Dorothy Jean Banker.Trustee Richard Wood introduced,and the Town Administrator read in full,the following entitled ordinance and moved it be passed and adopted: AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF SPRUCE DRIVE,BEING A PUBLIC ROADWAY LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,LARIMER COUNTY,COLORADO Trustee Paula L.Laing seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees Norbert L. Aldrich,Mark T.Brown,Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix,Paula L. Laing and Richard A.Wood.Those voting “No”none,Whereupon Mayor Dannels declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered #14—84 and published according to law.
