Wagner Larimer County Judge,Edward J.Hummer,administered the oath of office to Trustees Robert E.Burgess,N.T.Petrocine and Robert E.Wagner. Minutes of a regular meeting held on March 25,1974,were read and approved as read. Trustee Robert E.Burgess moved the following bills for the month of March be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A Certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.)Trustee Robert E.Wagner seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Robert E.Burgess,H.Bernerd flannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Rollen Sutter,Robert E.Wagner.Those voting “No”none. The Town Administrator presented a Lease between the Town of Estes Park,Lessor, and the County of 1.arimer,State of Colorado,Lessee. Trustee Robert E.Burgess introduced the following resolution and moved it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TIE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COWRADO: That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to sign the Lease dated April 8,1974,by and between the Town of Estes Park and County of Iarimer,State of Colorado. Trustee H.Bernerd flannels,Chairman of the Public Works Counnittee,reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of March 28,1974,and moved the minutes be approved and adopted.Several persons in the audience spoke both in favor of and in opposition to the demolition of the old Town Hall.After a lengthy discussion,Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion that the minutes be approved.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Glenn Prosser,Rollen Sutter,Robert E.Wagner,Robert E.Burgess,H.Bernerd flannels,N.T.Petrocine.Those voting “No”none. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present:Mayor Trustees: Also Present: Absent: The Town Clerk submitted a letter from the Colorado Municipal League regarding proposed Mountain Bell Increases.Trustee H.Bernerd flannels moved the Town contribute the assessment in the amount of $45.00 in support of the CML Action in connection with the 1974 filings of Mountain Bell. Trustee Rollen Sutter seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Town Clerk submitted a letter to the Board from Ron Reiland,Manager of the Chamber of Commerce,requesting the Board’s assistance in determining the desir ability and suitability of attracting the Denver Symphony to this area.Mayor Harry B.Tregent referred this matter to the Advertising and Public Relations Committee for recommendation. The Town Clerk submitted a letter from the Chamber of Commerce requesting the re-opening of the public restrooms across from the Chamber office.Mayor Tregent declared the public facilities would be opened within five to ten days or as soon as arrangements could be made. The Town Clerk submitted a letter from the Chamber of Commerce requesting permission to use Bond Park to sponsor the Western Justice program for the Summer of 1974,with performances beginning June 17th and concluding Labor Day week.Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved the request be granted.Trustee Robert E.Burgess seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Mayor announced the week-end of May 4th and 5th,1974,as Paint Up,Clean Up, Fix Up Week. The Mayor announced the next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees has been postponed until April 29,1974.
