Wagner Also Present:Town Administrator and Clerk Dale G.Hill Absent: Minutes of a regular meeting held on October 23,1972,were read and approved as read. Trustee H.Bernerd flannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same.(A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.)Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Robert E.Burgess,II.Bernerd Dannels,N.T.Petrocine, Rollen Sutter,Robert E.Wagner.Those voting “No’none. The Town Clerk submitted the following renewals to the Board of Trustees: F- Retail Fermented Malt Beverage(for sale of 3.2%beer OFF the premises only): Southland Corporation Dust.dba Seven Eleven Store,Hwy 34 Bypass. Club Liquor:American Legion Post dba Estes Park Post No.119,1000 5. St.Vram Avenue. Retail Liquor Store:Estes Park Anderson Enterprises,Inc.dba Jolly Jug Liquor Store,358 E.Elkhorn Avenue;Chas.J.&Doris N.Fazio dba Nountain Dew Liquor,1126 S.St.Vram Avenue. Beer,Wine and Liguor(hotel,restaurant):William E.&Robert E. Burgess dba Old Plantation Restaurant,140 E.Elkhorn Avenue;Mary N. Kelley dba Range Restaurant,1560 Big Thompson Avenue. Trustee N.P.Petrocine moved the above applications for renewal be approved.Trustee Robert E.Wagner seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Town Clerk submitted an application for renewal of a Beer,Wine and Liquor(hotel,restaurant)for 0.N.Nagl dba Wheel,132 E.Elkhorn Ave., Estes Park,Colorado.Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved the application be approved.Trustee Rollen Sutter seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Robert E.Wagner,Chairman of the Advertising and Public Relations Committee,reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of October 24, 1972,and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The proposed advertising contract between the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park Chamber of Connnerce was read in full to the Board of Trustees. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present;Mayor Trustees: Also Pre5ent: Absent: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COlORADO: That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to sign the Advertising Contract between the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park Chamber of Commerce,dated November 13,1972. Trustee Rollen Sutter seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Robert E. Trustee N.T.Petrocine,Chairman of the Light and Power Committee, reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of November 3,1972, and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.Trustee Robert E.Burgess seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Glenn Prosser,Chairman of the Water Conunittee,reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of November 6,1972,and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.Trustee H.Bernerd flannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. A letter,dated November 3,1972,from the Chamber of Commerce,request ing the use of Stanley Park for a jeep pulling contest on December 16,—n 1972,was read to the Board of Trustees.Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved the above request be granted.Trustee Rollen Sutter seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. A letter,dated November 10,1972,from Mrs.Jane Blair,President of the Board of Trustees of the Estes Park Library,was read to the Board of Trustees.This letter contained the recommendation that Mrs.Joyce Sager be appointed to complete the term of Mrs.George Gardner and begin a five year term on the Board of Trustees of the Estes Park Library nftnt nf gtc9 3JIarh,l.arimer County,Colorado )3 19. Trustee Glenn Prosser reported on the Horse Use Study now underway by the National Park Service.Trustee Robert E.Burgess moved that the letter,as prepared by Glenn Prosser,to the National Park Service in dicating the Town has taken a position and recommends the National Park Service be as lenient as possible to horse uses within the park,be sent to the National Park Service over the signature of Mayor Tregent. Trustee Rollen Sutter seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Board of Trustees received a letter,dated November 13,1972,from Mrs.Wilma Glendenning.This letter contained a request from Mrs. Glendenning that the Town of Estes Park sell or lease to her a ten foot strip of land adjacent to her south lot boundary of her property located in Block 7,Town of Estes Park.Mayor Harry B.Tregent referred this request to the Public Works Committee for a recommendation. The Board of Trustees discussed the operation of the traffic signal at the intersection of Elkhorn Avenue and Moraine Avenue.The Town Admin istrator was instructed to contact the state highway department with a request that the light be placed on continuous blink and that our police department be allowed to make the light operational when needed. The Board also instructed the through lane allowed at the intersection of East Elkhorn Avenue and MacGregor Avenue have its light hooded for the balance of the winter. Chairman Prosser announced that the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for November 21,1972,begin its meeting at 2:00 P.M.rather than 3:00 P.M.because of the amount of items on the agenda. Mayor Harry B.Tregent announced that the second meeting in December scheduled for Christmas Day will be cancelled.
