Minutes of a reu1ar meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park,Larimer County,Colorado.Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park
on the ....day of ..A.0.l?YJ.at regular meeting
hour.

Present:Mayor Ronald C.Brodie Trustees:Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.
flannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn
Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,
Harry B.Tregent
Also Present:Town Administrator &Clerk Dale C.Hill
Absent:
Minutes of the regular meeting held January 11,1971,were read and
approved as read.
The Clerk presented an application from Louis C.Pettyjohn,dba Estes
park Golf Course,2020 5.St.Vram,Avenue,Estes Park,Colorado,for
a ren2wal of his 3.27.beer license.Trustee N.T.Petrocine moved the
application be approved.Trustee Harry B.Tregent seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.Those voting
“Yes”Trustees Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.flannels,N.T.Petrocine,
Glenn Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,Harry B.Tregent.Those voting “No”
none.
Gerald H.Brownfield,Chairman of the Code and Sanitation Committee,
reported on a committee meeting as itemized in the minutes of January
14,1971,and moved the minutes be accepted.Trustee Henry D.flannels
seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield moved that the Municipal Code be amended
to add the following:“12.7-3 NINThIIJM AREA OF LOT -The minimum area
of each lot shall be two times the total floor area of the building but
not less than 7,000 square feet for a one-family dwelling or a two
family dwelling,plus 1,000 square feet for every dwelling unit in
excess of two.For permitted uses (3)through (5)the area shall not
be less than 16,000 square feet.”Trustee Henry D.flannels seconded
the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting held January 19,1971
were read to the Board of Trustees.
Trustee Glenn Prosser moved that the Town Attorney be requested to draw
an ordinance amending the Municipal Code repealing Section 18.9 and
adding a provision for veterinarian hospitals and/or kennels for small
animals in C-l,C-2 and 1-1 zones for special review.Trustee N.T.
Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously
carried.
Mr.John W.Page,President of the Estes Park Gun and Archery Club,
appeared before the Board of Trustees and requested financial assistance
in the amount of $1,500.00.This amount was budgeted for this special
purpose under the classification of Civil Defense.Trustee Gerald H.
Brownfield moved the Estes Park Gun and Archery Club be issued a warrant
in the amount of $1,500.00.Trustee Petrocine seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
The Estes Park Public Library Board officers were reported as follows:

Mrs.Duane Blair,Vice President
Mrs.George Gardner,Secretary
Mrs.Darwin N.Staley,Treasurer

A letter from the Attorney Generals office,dated January 20,1971,and
a letter from the Town Attorney,dated January 20,1971,regarding the
legal status of the Estes Park Trail were read to the Board of Trustees.
Trustee Petrocine moved the Town place its legals in the Mountain
Gazette at the rate quoted in their letter dated January 2,1971,until
such time as the Estes Park Trail establishes its legal status satis
factorily to Town Attorney Ernest C.Hartwell.Trustee Henry D.
Dannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the
following votes.Those voting “Yes”Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry D.
Dannels,N.T.Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,Harry B.
Tregent.Those voting “No”none.
There being no further business,it was regularly moved,seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
