Minutes of the regular meeting held March 23,1970,were read and approved as read. Trustee N.T.Petrocine moved that the following appointments be approved: Mayor Pro Tem Town Administrator Town Clerk Town Treasurer Town Attorney Assistant Town Attorney Water Superintendent Street Superintendent Light &Power Supt. Mayor Ronald C.Brodie proceeded to conduct a public hearing on an application for a retail fermented malt beverage license as submitted by Robert 0.Copper,dba Copper Enterprises,Inc.,124 West Elkhorn Avenue,Estes Park,Colorado.Mr.Lynn Hammond,attorney for the ap plicant,conducted the proponents case.Those testifying in opposition to the license were Mr.Edward E.Schultz and Mr.William E.Green. Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield moved the application be approved.Trustee Harry B.Tregent seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Mayor Ronald C.Brodie proceeded to conduct a public hearing on the re zoning of a portion of Lot 5,Manford Addition to the Town of Estes Park from the existing C-2 Restricted Commercial District to C-I Commercial District.No one appeared at the hearing to testify either in favor of or in opposition to the rezoning request.Trustee Henry 0.flannels moved that the Board of Trustees instruct the Town Attorney to draw up the necessary ordinance granting the rezoning request as submitted. Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Mayor Ronald C.Brodie proceeded to conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed rezoning of Lots 4 and 5,Sunny Acres Amended Addition to the Town of Estes Park from the existing R-1 Residence District to a R-3 Trailer Court District.The proponents speaking in favor of the rezoning were fob Nelson,attorney for the proponents and Steve Stouffer. The opponents speaking in opposition to the petition were John Phipps, Attorney for thea Howard,John Ramey,George Myers,Mrs.Ganel S. Matlack,Vern Fanton and William E.Green.The Clerk read a letter of opposition from Walt Emery.Trustee Harry B.Tregent moved the application to rezone be denied.Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion passed by the.following votes.Those voting “Yes”Trustees Gerald H.Brownfield,Henry P.flannels,N.T. Petrocine,Glenn Prosser,Marvin L.Steele,Harry B.Tregent.Those voting “No”none. Town Attorney Ernest G.Hartwell gave a progress report on the Six City Water Committee and urged the councilmen to plan to attend the May 6th water meeting at Fort Collins. Mr.Edward J.Hummer,attorney representing Estes Park CAW,Inc.intro duced Mr.Albert J.Couvillion,Jr.,president of Estes Park CATV,Inc., who in turn gave a progress report on the existing and future plans for his cable television system.Mr.Ginsberg,attorney for Colorado Cable Television Company,requested a meeting between his clients and the LI oftiu of g9t29 3jarh,Larimer County,Colorado L3.19.7°... Meeting called to order by Mayor .C.Brol Present,Mayor Trustees: Also Present: Absent, Estes Park Light and Power Committee.Trustee Harry B.Tregent,chair man of the Light and Power Committee,granted the request and set the date of meeting as April 22,1970 at 7:30 P.M. Trustee Glenn Prosser moved the Mayor and Clerk be authorized and are hereby instructed to sign the following horse show contracts for the 1970 season:Circle J Morgan Horse Association,Mountain &Plains Appaloosa Horse Club,Inc.,and Rocky Mountain Paint Horse Association, Inc.Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Harry B.Tregent moved that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized and are hereby instructed to sign Schedule A,Revision Number 5,Con tract Number 14—06-700-6157 with the Bureau of Reclamation.Trustee N.T.Petrocine seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Trustee Henry 0.Dannels,Chairman of the Board of Adjustment,read the minutes of their recent meeting,dated April 1,1970. Trustee N.T.Petrocine,Chairman of the Advertising and Public Relations Committee,reported on a meeting as itemized in the minutes of April 1, 1970,and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.Trustee Glenn Prosser seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. A letter,dated April 8,1970,from the Estes Park High School Student Council Scheduling Committee concerning the painting of trash cans,was read to the Board of Trustees.Trustee Gerald H.Brownfield moved the Town Administrator reply to the letter indicating the Town’s desire to cooperate with the students and that Mr.Marvin L.Steele and Mr.Gerald H.Brownfield will approve or disapprove the painting designs.Trustee Marvin L.Steele seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried.
